Merkel doesn’t need advice from a light weight like May.

Within the CU or SM? And May was going through all this with Merkel as you posted that we are not allowed to talk about it. Any desperate attempt to show the EU in a bad light.

Desperate?

Are you saying that it isn't the truth?

You do not see any difference between the disastrous government and Brexit referendum and the U.K.? You can love the UK and hate the position it is in because of bad government.

You call it disastrous. It isn't unless Juncker continues to play the c unt. And even then we will have to wait and see.

The city of London is widely regarded as one of the most corrupt places in the world with regards to money laundering.

The National Crime Agency estimated at least 90Bn a year.

Yeah we can’t talk to anyone about dodgy money and corruption. We’re one of the worst and usually we’re the blocker to stronger EU regulation of finance.

Juncker blocked the EU from looking into what he did. Then he got a top job in the EU. But that means nothing to some.

A lot of it is drug trafficking money that gets cleaned. Our very own HSBC got fined around 2bn for laundering drug cartel money.

And so they should be.

At least the HSBC isn't going to become the bank for the EU.

And that’s before you factor in British overseas territories. You haven’t even got to cross the Atlantic, the Isle of Man and Channel Isles are on our doorstep.

So it is OK for Juncker to be in his position in the EU because banks have done something wrong?

That is like saying May is doing a good job because she is better than Corbyn.

Again. Just because Junker is a c**t. That doesn’t make everyone else innocent.

I thought you were neutral and brought balance to the debate? If that was the case you’d appreciate the comparison and it is a valid comparison in the interest of balance.

Basically yes.

The negativity about the EU comes from the likes of Farage, Gove, Banks, Wigmore and BoJo. All of whom have been mean with the truth.

Never mind getting Junker to agree on brexit we still can’t agree with ourselves 'Worst of both worlds': Boris Johnson and David Cameron savage Theresa May's Brexit plan
Doesn’t bode well for the crunch talks at chequers. I’ve been taking all the talk of another general election in autumn with a pinch of salt but if the government can’t agree on brexit what choice will there be?

Yes. I thought the opinion from the usual suspects was that Merkel was weak and the EU was crumbling. It seems that they got it horribly wrong. How many times did they say they knew what they voted for? If so, why not tell May, Mogg and co, seeing as they cannot agree on what the country actually voted for?

The brexiteers are meeting with BoJo now ( or maybe it’s home time ). They are threatening to resign or cause enough trouble Friday ( today ) to perhaps bring down the government. We shall see how much they are aware of the consequences of a no deal Brexit.

Which is why I asked. Part of the government is oblivious as to the consequences.

Just because they haven't demonstrated it to you? Who on earth do you think you are?

The fact is, you have swallowed the EU position on everything...whether that publicly stated position is genuinely the state of play even currently, is another question.

Had she listened to some of our other lightweights over the yrs the EU might not be careering into an increasingly fragile scenario

Yes...exactly why the EU leaders want financial institutions to move too. They want a slice of that for themselves!

Well let us wait & see how soon & what 'stronger EU regulation of finance' looks like. If it is anything like their border policy that few have given much attention to un the past...it will probably just be hot air

Ah...there is a pattern forming with you that Mart always demonstrates too

UK: differing opinions = argument, stupid, clueless, lacking clear direction & we are doomed
EU countries/German coalition members: differing opinions = healthy debate & they will find a positive solution

He’s saying that the reason EU beef was banned in China was because of the self inflicted through bad practices BSE mad cow disease that struck the U.K. and Ireland god knows how many years ago. Ireland has had a Chinese delegation inspect abattoirs in Ireland and trade has been cleared to commence again with Ireland by China.

A) it’s two years on and we still don’t have a consensus in the cabinet (forget the rest of the country) as to what brexit actually means.

B) I’ve never passed comment on Germany’s political scene so not sure how you’ve come to that assumption, and it is an assumption.
