So the EU have to tell us what brexit is? Is that what you’re saying? I clearly remember lines such as “we’re taking back control”, “we know what we voted for”, “we’re negotiating from a position of strength and can dictate terms “ etc etc. If there was any truth in any of that why should we be, as you suggest, asking the EU to give us a clue? Are you seriously suggesting that we triggered article 50 with no idea of what brexit trade deal should look like?

There was me thinking that we voted leave so the EU could no longer dictate to us yet you’re saying that they should.

Yes Mr Remain at any cost.

So it wouldn't help knowing what sort of trade agreement they would be happy with? They know we would be happy with tariff free. And EU countries would be better off with tariff free.

'What' is what you are talking about. My reply was how can we sort 'what' out if we won't know what the trade agreement is until everything else is sorted out.

So we need to sort out the border of Ireland. Will there be any duties to collect? We don't know. But we have to have an answer without knowing what the question is. But you already know that.

Fucking he’ll. I’ve been dropped into a game of blankety blank. So basically you know we need blank but you don’t know what blank is so the EU have basically became the celebrities who fill in the blanks for us because we don’t have our own blank.

We know what free trade agreement they would be happy with and it involves membership to the single market either through the EU or the EEA, this includes such things as freedom of movement. This seriously can’t be new information to you. Can it?

We have rejected that by way of a referendum where everyone apparently knew what they were voting for. Now you’re suggesting that we go to the EU and say please sir, tell us what the answer is as we didn’t understand the question. Really?

Change it to the other way round and you have exactly what Juncker wants.

But there is no surprise as he doesn't know how to do anything straight.

So what do you think about him and what he did at Luxembourg then ending up with a top job with the EU?

We didn't know that Juncker is such a C unt. But those who voted leave might have had a clue how bent he is. After all the UK voted against him getting the position.

Again completely irrelevant and your suggestion that we didn’t know what Junker was like is laughable. Brexit is our decision not Junkers. If he’s such a C unit that we have to get away from (which was a massive part of the brexit campaign both official and unofficial, hence your suggestion that we didn’t know what he is laughable) you would think that 2 years down the line our government would have a vision for that. Distraction from the actual point noted again.

I wouldn’t worry about Junker, Tusk or any of the EU lot anyway Astute. The DUP seem to be priming themselves to put a spanner in the works long before the EU get the opportunity.'No blank cheques' for PM says DUP

Had to laugh at this line "We don't give blank cheques to anybody." Unless it’s for ash of course. They do accept them though when a PM has incompetently called an unnecessary early election.

Given your clear in depth knowledge of British politics from last nights performance - how will they stop brexit Tony?

Do you think that the DUP’s influence on government begins and ends with Brexit? If they pull their support of the government over Brexit they’ll be a general election because this government will be ineffective on any vote that goes through parliament whether that’s connected to brexit or not. This government can’t pass wind without the support of the DUP. Maybe you hadn’t realised that.

Forgot to ask. What do you think to Astutes suggestion that we leave Junker and his cronies to shape Brexit for us?

They certainly can with Brexit and how many acts have been passed purely relying on their support this parliament?

Also the DUP will not force a general election Tony - why do you think? Here is a clue:

It’s nothing to do with the Poll Tax

Exactly. And you said that it wasn't an EU policy.

So why do the EU not do anything with what Italy are doing following the EU policy?

Nothing to do with it helping Merkel I suppose.

No. I don’t defend him. I attack Belize based tax dodging Lords who had the power to vote for although not paying tax in GB. Because that person obviously doesn’t give a toss about the likes of you or me and is constantly tweeting leave crap to convince the ooor to go through something harmful for them and something potentially great for him. If HMRC don’t get to him first.

Juncker has nothing to do with the leave scandal.

Leave scandal?

So it is OK for Juncker to sort out tax dodges that cost billions a year to the tax payer, refuse to let the EU change or look into anything but it is a scandal for people to vote the way they want?

You don't defend Juncker?

HA HA HA HA HA.

You never want to discuss him. You never want to discuss the billions a year tax dodges he started. You don't want to discuss if he should have been given a top role with the EU considering his past. And you don't want to discuss if he should be removed from his position in the EU.

But you want to discuss anything against anyone who has said anything on the side of leaving the EU.

They certainly can’t. Hence they had to find the magic apparently non existent money tree after the election. It also wouldn’t be the first time that the DUP have put the skids on Mays Brexit plans. Have you forgotten about the embarrassing failure of the Brussels trip in December where the much pre publicised speech announcing we had an agreement with the EU and were moving onto the next phase didn’t happen? Why didn’t it happen? Oh yeah the party you seem to think have no influence on the government put the scuppers on it over where the Irish border would be meaning there wasn’t an agreement afterall to announce. Even though an agreement had been made previously, just someone forgot to check with the DUP first.

They can’t make an agreement without the backing of the DUP. I know it, they know it (hence their no free cheque statement), Theresa May now knows it (hence her embarrassingly cancelling a previous announcement after flying into Brussels with a fanfare to announce it). Apparently the only person who doesn’t know it is you. Like I said, the government can’t pass wind without the DUP’s support.

It is becoming absurd. Leavers, like Astute is, although he purports to be a remainer, doesn’t get that it is us that is leaving the EU. The EU has rules and options for third countries. We have said we want to be a third country, or rather 17,4 million have said that. It is up to the people who voted leave or pushed leave to come up with a solution which doesn’t break the GFA and is workable.

Easy peasy as they knew what they voted for. Controls at the border, but without any controls at the border.

Ok. Tell M. Barnier how you are going to do that. He‘s been waiting since we handed over article 50. The clock is still ticking. Davis thinks it will all be settled at midnight on the last day. Fair enough, but do we know if businesses will accept that risk? Or more likely move to Europe to be on the safe side.

If you actually try reading what I’ve said I’ve agreed he’s a C unit. It still doesn’t have a bearing on our choice of what a trade deal should look like. Stop trying to use Junker being a C unit as a distraction. No one is actually disagreeing with you on that.

Lots of waffle Tony without an answer - mays problems exist in her cabinet not the DUP and once again your analysis of events are somewhat lacking

How many acts have passed requiring their support?

More critically why would they never force an election?

Clue number 2: it’s nothing to do with a Geoffrey Howe speech

In our decision making? No. We have to make our decisions on what brexit is and then use that as a point to negotiate from. You can’t negotiate from a starting point of nothing. You want the negotiations to begin before we have even decided what it is that we want.

Did Theresa May fly into Brussels under the fanfare of an announcement only to cancel said announcement when the DUP pulled the plug? It’s a yes or no answer.

So Junker told the DUP to tell May that there was no deal? Was it his idea to get them wait until she arrived in Brussels before they told her? Wow, you really are Mr Exclusive tonight.
