Do you ever consider that there may be two sides to a story?

Not all Catalonians want independence. We would only know the real feelings if it were a free and fair vote.

To get that they have to act in accordance with the Spanish and the Catalonian Constitution/ Law. It may be impossible under Spanish law, but it would be possible in Catalonia if the Parliament had at least 90 votes in favour of a referendum. The Catalonian government got 72 votes and ignored Catalonian law by going ahead. A totally undemocratic move.

Nice.

The EU have condemned the police brutality, which itself, although unacceptable, turned out to be greatly exaggerated.

The EU supports legal self determination through the Prodi principle.

The EU only said anything because of the uproar of them saying nothing.

Saying that nearly a thousand people were injured by the police an exaggeration? We would have riots here for much less.

Seeing as though not being hostile to the EU means that I enjoy a bit of violence, I'm surprised you're even asking.

Merkel is not taking Germany out of the EU. May is responsible for the most important international negotiations concerning the future of the UK since WWII. A big difference.

Millions of people who voted to leave the EU have never and would never vote Tory. Millions of people who voted to stay in the EU voted Tory. And May also wanted us to stay in the EU.

There is an even bigger difference.

The majority of Labour voters and members want to remain in the EU.

I'm not hostile to the EU. I can see the good and bad of being in the EU.

I think that I would be better off if we stayed in. But I want to know that my younger kids will be able to have their own home. And with growing terrorist problems I want to know that they will be safe. I don't agree with Juncker when he says that it is worth terrorists being able to move around freely so we can move around freely.

How would staying the EU mean that you wouldn't be able to pass on your home?

According to reports there were 800 people treated at the hospitals A & e of which 4 were to do with police violence.

Is that right?

I live in a very strong Labour area. Most people around here voted leave.

And the rest of them beat each other up?

We have all seen the videos. Only 4? And you still believe the Spanish government?

You moan that you pay 1k a month rent for a one bed flat. This is as you know caused by over demand.

Yet you don't understand?

Highly unlikely for the majority of the country for 2 reasons

1. Most labour areas voted leave. The poll I suspect is distorted by the London impact

2. More critically the only reason labour succeeded beyond expectation at the election was the collapse of the ukip vote and the transfer to labour of that vote

You gov also did a poll on intelligence of voters and entirely based intelligence on having a degree. So a media studies 3rd class degree student at Cumbria university is deemed more intelligent than someone say in their 50's whose running a business employing hundreds of people.

Yes Yougov. Those who said that it would be a landslide victory for remain. Those who said the Tories would get the majority in the last two general elections.

All they do is ask a small amount of people which way they will vote or which way they did vote them multiply it by a large number. That is why they are frequently wrong.

The rental market in Brighton has more to do with the demand from the within the UK to move there and due to the high number of students in the city.

I wasn't aware that I had blamed the EU for the issue with accommodation in Brighton and claimed there were no students in the city.

It's also become trendy as a London enclave, hasn't it? Well-to-do city dwellers have moved out to be by the sea... and it's also become a tech/web centre too.

Was always pricey anyway, but the fact it's become trendy trendy has bumped it beyond. People can live in Portsmouth if they fancy cheaper rents

It's based on education, not intelligence. I do agree that degrees have slowly become more debased though.

Yes that is true, though over the last 5 years it has got even more expensive and now it is even more "London by the sea". House prices will continue to increase as people move out of the capital looking to buy bigger homes.

You said it is a multi racial area with people from all over.

Just looked at the census. 80.5% White British. Next other white 8.5%

This includes students.

I didn't actually, it was Grendal and neither is us claimed it was 'multi-racial'. Coming from the Midlands, Brighton is very 'white' to me.

Census reveals third of Brighton and Hove residents have no link to UK

Most labour areas did vote leave and ukip vote moved to labour. You govs definition is there to see

You just need to think and absorb facts rather than blindly post

It still doesn't mean more Labour voters voted leave though. Your own party is the one more worried about UKIP voters anyway.

We have been told that older voters voted leave. The younger voters voted remain. The higher educated voted remain and the least educated voted leave.

So Labour voters are more highly educated than the Tory voters?
