Regarding the Nissan story. Things staying the same isn’t a Brexit bonus.

Isn’t the Brexit minister hastily trying to rearrange it now they understand what it is they delivered?

It is though, for Brexiters. It's a win in their eyes as they have nothing else to claim as a bonus!

Either that or they get their education from the headlines of the express newspaper. Even the daily heil seems to have given up.

That Vauxhall van factory in Luton stayed the same too. Brexit bonus, something else didn’t change.

You said it has been a disaster so how’s that measuring it over a timescale

Sums it up when you can find one article from months ago to back up your viewpoint.

Brexit is a fucking disaster. You have to be a complete idiot and/or too embarrassed to admit you were wrong to claim otherwise.

Here you say it IS a disaster that’s in the present. Are you now retracting this statement and saying it needs to be judged sometime in the future?

What? That makes no sense.

It has been a disaster. It will continue to be a disaster. You only complain it will be a success in 50 or 100 years time and we'll never know, conveniently for you.

You said it’s a disaster then you said “I didn’t say instant”

you then said “in our lifetimes”

I’m not saying anything I’m just quoting your words back to you

From the vote until the start of the transition period the economic cost to the U.K. economy was £1.3billion. So that’s 3 and a half years worth of measuring.

You're getting yourself very confused.

And once again you're arguing the minutiae of what someone has said to deflect from the story.

If I say the sky is blue in one post and then say the grass is green in another post would you then ask me why I think the sky is green?

Because that's what you've done. Taken two different positions and got them mixed up.

well I am confused what you are saying

First you said Brexit is a disaster and I’m embarrassed to admit it

I said it can’t be judged in 3 or 4 months

You said that no one voted for anything that made them worse

I said that the north of England elections shows you are wrong

You said it’s not now that matters but the fact it will be worse in a few years

This of course is conjecture and was the very point I made - you cannot make knee jerk judgements and throwaway comments

I also asked how you’ve negatively been impacted and you can’t answer

A lot of people on here have remarked how hard work you are. You make random cliche comments with zero evidence then literally contradict yourself in the space of a few posts

Im repeating what you have said and you say I’m in the Sherry

Never stop posting

You are really funny. So earnest and so stupid in equal measure.

The Mulla Nasaradin parable is so appropriate for you

That's a lot of words for not a lot of substance.

No evidence? The evidence for Brexit being a disaster is overwhelming. It's everywhere. What an absurd comment to say there's no evidence.

As for how I've been negatively impacted it's cost our family business hundreds of thousands of pounds. Is that good enough for you?

And anyway, it's not just about me, I'm not saying Brexit is a disaster because of the effect its had on me. Unlike you I have more compassion for others and care for more than just myself. As I said you're a typical tory in that respect. As long as you're alright, fuck everyone else.

TBF I’m not surprised that no one on a football forum can tell us what the tangible benefits are. The government can’t either, they’ve had to hire someone external to find them after IDS failed from within the government.

The others that roundly rejected Labour and supported Tory in working class areas where they are massively impacted by Brexit and Roaming around in abject poverty due to the Tories

Ever decreasing circles

Didn't we lose massey ferguson and Peugeot pretty much whilst in the EU .

Manufacturers etc always looking to make cars/parts as cheap as possible , not entirely sure it wouldn't still be happening even if we were in the EU .

People losing their livelihoods is a horrible event , one that's been going on for many many many years .

What are we to do ? Pay workers 4 pound an hour to compete

indeed Though PVA has lost hundreds of thousands of pounds purely due to Brexit. But it’s not about him and his bitterness

I'm not pretending to know the ins and outs .

But all I know is we lost a hell of a lot of manufacturing and parts factories to Europe for cheap labour whilst IN the European Union..that's a fact

You’re probably right but it was advertised as “There will be no downside to Brexit, only a considerable upside”. We’ve seen dozens of downsides in the first five months on top the downsides seen since the vote. We’re yet to see an upside in the same period.

The problem is mate , and please don't take this as if I'm trying to downplay any early brexit chaos .

Quite literally EVERYTHING is being put on brexit .
But as we know companies will go where the labour is cheap , jaguar Land rover is trying to do the same with their plant in Eastern Europe but have an issue as believe it or not when we were there , it was made clear that people around the world were buying range rovers BECAUSE they were made in Britain.

It loses some of its suave if all the manufacturing goes abroad , it loses its "magic"

Although pumping 46 cars an hour down the track (when I was there )helped lose some of its magic anyway .

We were making cars with alot of problems because of it

Amazing that you claim I post things with no evidence and then you post insinuating to have insider knowledge on my personal/business finances.

And yes, every penny of the hundreds of thousands I refer to is as a result of Brexit.

Let’s take the fishing industry. Didn’t regain control of our waters as promised. Lost access to market. Lost access to waters as roll over deals with Iceland, Norway and The Faroe Isles couldn’t be agreed meaning that almost the entire U.K. deep sea fleet has been sat in dock all year. 3 downsides to zero upsides. First downside might be addressed again in five years but doubtful as what will be left of the U.K. fishing industry will be even less valuable than it was when it was sold out in the name of Brexit, second downside isn’t going to happen without agreeing to EU standards, downside 3 might be solvable in 12 months but by which time boats wouldn’t have left harbour for a year.

Farming. Lost access to market and now looks like it’s going to be sold down the river so Australia can have a Brexit bonus. New Zealand and Brazil possibly to follow. That’s 2 downsides vs zero upsides unless you count the one Australia is possibly getting.
