Easy

1) Our economy is fragile and doesn’t need another shock especially as a recession is due globally

2) Multilateral action is needed on climate change

3) Multilteral action is needed on tax avoidance

4) We benefit from incoming FoM economically

5) We benefit culturally

6) Allows is to access EU wide energy networks and we should be selling wind power really

7) Shared standards open up opportunities for businesses like mine to easily expand when they want

8) Imports mean we have a wide variety of cheap food

9) Exports made easy

10) World is made up of large superpowers or blocks we will get butt raped by on negotiations. EU puts us on a level playing field

11) We get a significant influence over one of the largest trading blocks. Better to be in pissing out than out pissing in. Stops things like punitive taxes on our financial industry.

12) Regional development funds allow regeneration where U.K. govt fails

There is also an argument for world security and reducing the likelihood of future conflicts and war. Europe has had centuries of fighting and wars with countries getting into willy-waving contests. Look where the last big bout of nationalism and populism took the continent/world.......

pps just saw your comments on migration. It’s hard to disagree with the sentiment but my comments are specific about net EU migration. For example I appreciate that they are net contributors, however, my point has always been about ‘control’ ie limit numbers (in general or skillset) if needed to allow infrastructure to catch up and/or free up space for Non EU migrates people with other/different skills etc. Non EU migration has increased but from memory it also includes higher numbers of students

No I know that the economy was the leading factor but I disagree that David Cameron scared me into believing the figures. Non EU migration is higher than EU migration. If the government has failed to curtail the former what reason is there to believe it will do the latter? The truth is we are reliant on foreign labour because our education system has been unfit for purpose for a long time and we go on to shaft the public sector to no end.

My question is simply who will they blame when things still haven't changed and we're out of the EU? At what point do our governments take responsibility for the outcomes of their policies and their actions? Blaming the EU has bought them some time but they can't keep passing the buck.

I think you are confusing people Tony. It’s me you are talking about and I’m afraid again you are confused.

This was a hastily arranged agreement in the case of no deal as your article references. However it’s irrelevant once we agree an actual trading arrangement and as I said there was a huge issue regarding homologation issues regarding a model year certification regardless of this so called deal
