Not weird at all, they see what is happening in England and don’t want to be a part of it. While the few hundred old geezers were in London at 11pm on the 31st, equivalent amounts were in Glasgow with EU flags. They know where their future lies and the thought of Boris Johnson dictating their future must be truly scary.

Except the polls don't show that do they? Even with Brexit and Boris support for indy still can't break 50% and with the SNP mismanaging the country they're messing up the best chance they'll ever have

The polls said Remain would win up until about 30 mins before Leave won.

Looks like the Irish had had enough of their EU-puppet PM and will probably kick him out at next week’s GE.

If it should go tits up for Leo, no worries though, I’m sure his EU mates will have a highly paid, high profile position lined up for him in Brussels as reward for his loyalty to the Union. After all, as a failed politician of a minnow country he’d have the perfect CV.

If they do kick him out you do realise that he’ll be replaced with another pro EU Taoiseach.

Maybe so but it remains disingenuous to say there is overwhelming support for Scottish independence. Got to be honest I don't particularly like being stereotyped as a racist because of the piece of rock I happened to be born on. Cultural attitudes do not differ much between England and Scotland as countless surveys have shown

Didn’t say overwhelming, if Scotland has to chose between the EU and England it chooses the EU.

Not at all, they rejected the WIthdrawal Agreement. Same goes for them, albeit likely not as soon. England stands alone.

I’m surprised by your post then. If anything the leader of the opposition in Ireland is more pro EU and has many more deeper, long standing connections than Varadkar in the EU. Are you celebrating Ireland getting rid of an “EU puppet” and replacing him with a bigger one? It didn’t read that way.

I see there’s been further public backtracking today on the promises made by the PM to car factory workers in the election campaign. Hard brexit full steam ahead.

It's great to see morons who put up things like the Happy Brexit day posters in Norwich are going to be spearheading a drive in the UK to actually learn and speak other languages abroad. After all, i'm sure they wouldn't dream of going to Spain this summer and continuing to speak English in another country, unless they're massive hypocrites, of course.

Welsh assembly, Scotland and Northern Ireland all rejected. The end of the U.K. is an inevitable by product of all this, which I think is a good thing, but no doubt a fair few on here don’t.

Where has this drowning babies bollocks come from? Is this to do with throw away comment I made about shooting the dinghy? No I wouldn't want them to drown,I'd prefer them to seek refuge(if theyre genuine) in the 1st safe country they come to instead of weirdly trying to make it to the uk and avoiding countless countries in between. This is so typical of weird leftie types like yourself. We're not allowed to bring up legitimate concerns about immigration without mentalists like you screaming racist etc.
I guess the Brexit vote was a protest vote to a degree as people in this country are sick and tired of being bullied by your type ie the rabid left.
I've no problem with controlled immigration. We need migrants. What's so wrong about limiting the people that come here? What's so wrong about us picking the ones with the best skills? Why should the tax payers of this country pay for work shy scroungers from abroad? We have enough home grown trash all ready here. You know the white working class people of this country are being gagged by people like you. We cant fart without you lot frothing at the mouth.
As far as I can see there's only one racist biggot on this thread. It isnt me,it isn't ernie,it isnt grendel.

Got to laugh at those who've decided the whole thing has been a success after entering a transition period.

The 'rabid left' would actually have been much more likely to have voted for Brexit.
The Brexit Party's pro IRA candidate being a prime example.

Absolutely correct. Not to mention the Labour leader himself, who can hardly be deemed to be anything apart from left. A facile and uneducated statement once again.

No, I couldn’t care less who’s Irish PM. I do think though, whoever it is should stop the self-serving grandstanding, put his own country’s interests first and admit how important UK trade is to Ireland. They badly need EU/UK trade talks to end well.

There’s a proper scumbag over here called Gemma O’Doherty, she’s like a wannabe Katie Hopkins. It’s informative to look at the differences between her and her idol Katie Hopkins. O’Doherty hates the fact that same sex marriage was first allowed here and LGBT is fully protected in law and accepted everywhere. She gets shouted down all the time, ridiculed and I think she got done for hate speech, not sure though. Over there, Katie Hopkins & Tommy Robinson- millions of fans, and the number growing. People in the streets campaigning for them, you can see even today the Union Jack brigade have been out with their garbage. Ireland is way, way more tolerant and active in doing things about it’s problems than England is, in England people like you are running wild.

The likes of Katie Hopkins and Tommy Robinson are massively unpopular with a massive swath of the country, just as Piers Morgan etc are. Of course they have people who agree with them but I'd imagine this O'Doherty woman does too. If she didn't how the hell does she have any kind of platform for you to hear about her? She'd just be a lone voice sounding like an idiot and being ignored. Someone somewhere has to be giving her the media oxygen.

On the EU, I see Alexander has said he won't accept alignment with the EU in a trade deal.

Just like he'd rather be dead in a ditch than get an extension and couldn't possibly accept an Irish border.

The only reason not to expect alignment with the EU is if the US tell him not to.

Many reasons which you already know, also because all your fellow right wing guys spent years telling us they’d have massive trade deals set up within 24 hours of Brexit happening. In other words, to further demonstrate the lies, deceit and bullshit emanating from your Brexit buddies.

The vast majority of comments about Hopkins is what a vile creature she is. She relies more on upsetting the left than giving a voice to the right for her job - that is why she does it and makes massively inflammatory statements. It's anger against her that keeps her relevant, not those agreeing with her.

Don’t completely agree with you, she’s propped up by a large rabid following. But I do agree that giving her attention enables her to do what she does, and ignoring her would be the best possible thing to do.
