I think this explains a lot of the educational Brexit divide. Those of us actually tasked with solving problems and building things know how progress happens, while for those away from the coal face they just need to think positively because someone else will sort it eventually.
But since then we now have 2 entrenched positions of Ultra Hard Brexit and Ultra Remain. Both in my opinion are culpable for this shit storm we have now. Those that won’t accept any form of Brexit except nosediving off a cliff, and those that won’t acknowledge that the EU needs to reform at all, and that not all leavers are ignorant racists that were too stupid to know what they voted for.
Arrogance in both extremes is breathtaking.

Ironically Mays soft soap deal was pretty harmless. You’d expect the hard line labour and tories would kick it out but the Lib Dem’s the SNP and the Corbyn cabinet have created this mess as much as anyone else and ironically will now play into the Brexit elements who’ve always wanted what we will now get

Unfortunately it looks like that may have been the Brexiters plan all along. Campaign for a better deal, let any deal fail then change tack and pretend it was no deal all long. An affront to democracy but as you point out the centerists have played into their hands.

How very ignorant. The majority of NI residents are law abiding, hard working British subjects and you label them murderers. Look at the take up of British troops from Northern Ireland, historically its disproportionately high compared to the rest of the UK. It’s given heroes such as Montgomery, Paddy Mayne to name 2 of many. Some of the best fighting forces of the British Army have been NI regiments, my own family has a long history of serving in the Dragoon’s based out of Enniskillen amongst other regiments. You’re talking about a country that’s fiercely British to the point that you couldn’t even dream about being as British as them yet you belittle them.
They had a problem...they resolved it to become more productive. That is positive thinking in action. Your resolution to the problems presented by Brexit is to keep thinking of more problems, or problems in the solutions or to just ignore the result of the referendum & stay in the EU. He ballses everything up but so happy are the Tory majority they agree with & pass changes to the law & constitution to enable them to continue in office for 10 more years.How? I work at the coal face (as Schmee refers to it). The industry is global as is the company I work for. I even lost my management role a few years back because the European HQ in the UK was moved to an Eastern European country where EU incentives & cheaper labour costs made it a more attractive proposition.
Yes I do know the implications of Brexit & our MD has reassured us that matters are in hand & we are ready for Brexit or non-Brexit come 31st October.
Yep got such a pension, it will probably suffer. Not sure what you mean by 'work out'...I can keep tabs on it's performance & monetary value pretty quickly & easily. When I lost my job (twice in 5yrs as it happens) my wife & I slaved & used savings/redundancy payments & had to 'make do' to pay bills (a bit of positive thinking employed there see?) - & we got through it. Now spare a thought for the many that have over time, lost their jobs because of EU cheaper labour, eh? No different for them is it?
