Amazes me how how people think that they have to be good merely because they are Cov fans.

If The Enemy didn't have any links to Cov at all would anybody rate them at all?

Doesn't stop people being a cock merely because they are Cov fans.

Firstly, I never said they were good simply because of their Cov connections, in fact I didn't even say they were good, but equally there are those that give them abuse for no obvious reason. A lot of the time it is shit musicians who think they've got more talent. Once had to listen to someone drone on about about how shit they. I said, "you're in a band then?". Of course he was. Tedious fuck.

Would anyone rate them if they didn't have Cov connections? Ridiculous question. They play to sell out audiences all over the country, they've had a number one album. Unless you think the 2000 people who attend their gigs in places like Glasgow have all traveled from Coventry? I do wonder about some people.

So do I, particularly the 2000 people who attended their gig in Glasgow and the ones who bought enough of their albums to make them Number One.

Not sold as many as Justin Bieber though, so he must surely be brilliant.

You shouldn't like that music, you should like this music. That is the wrong music.

Leamington Assembly? Sounds like they alreay have! Their first album had some decent enough lad pop songs but since then, they've just repeated themselves. I wouldn't have listened to them if they weren't from Cov, so why should I worship them because they are? They repeatedly use the fact they're from Cov to promote their "working class" background and its simply disrespectful!

Plus their statement that there are "no other good musicians in Coventry"

Oh and by the way, we were already on the map for music long before they heard their first Jam song.

De La Soul played there not too long back too. If it's good enough for them and all that.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it at all!! Great venue!! But it's hardly The Ricoh which is the last place they played in these parts, I believe. Hypocritical me played the aftershow party in the Casino!! Yeah that's right... My band played at The Ricoh

The Enemy's first album was pretty decent. They then rushed to get there second album released and it showed in the songs, They were poor in comparison, and Warner Bro's dropped them. The new album, Streets in the Sky is much better and there's a couple of crackers on there such as Like a dancer and Saturday.I also like Bigger cages. They have a fairly decent following, its not easy to chart in todays charts with Pop,RnB and dance dominating. Fair play to them, they have done well.

Saw the enemy in Norwich about 5 years ago and they were fantastic. First album was great, second was poor and haven't listened to the third. Soccer AM when lovejoy was on it used to have some cracking sketches, such as Manchester news but has fallen from grace. Bit like the Simpsons just waiting to be cancelled.

So you would dislike a band or not see them because they are from Leicester?

I was thinking that.....

The whole Sky Blue Army thing that the Enemy do is cringeworthy also.

I met Tom at a beady eye gig with The gallagher brother who wasn't in Oasis and started talking to him about the skyblues, all he said was how are they doing.
He didn't seem to know much or really care about the team.

no kasabian are a great band and much better than the enemy, but sometimes like football you need a great atmosphere and when ive seen the enemy the atmosphere was better than anyone else ive seen. hope ive explained that right
