I don’t just want to win this league,” he admitted. “I want to smash it and get 100 points.”
Sharpe, a lifelong Latics fan, also promised to splash the cash to recruit a proven striker that will fire the goals to win promotion back to the Championship.
“I guarantee we will have a goalscorer who scores us 20 goals next season,” he pledged.
“I was brought up on (Nathan) Ellington and (Jason) Roberts scoring every week. And I’m prepared to pay good money for that.
“We’ll have a very good budget - five times more than anyone else in League One..

How is their playing budget 5 times that of the rest of the league are they still receiving the grossly unfair parachute payments? It can't be on crowds as they had low crowds in the prem

Yes, they still have parachute payments next season, so should walk the league like wolves did.

Just looked at the supporters comments. They don't believe a word he says. Hope we thump them first game of the season and let him have a reality check.

Completely agree with you there, I cringe as some of the stuff I read on here about our league one rivals, but his comments are on another level.

Agreed. Especially about guaranteeing a 20 goal a season striker! You can't guarantee that!

He would have to ask his grandad if he could take the bet.

He's done well since taking over his racist grandad. 3 months at the helm and overseeing a relegation? This is why little boys shouldn't be in control of football clubs (nor female Finnish American swindlers).

They don't even like football up there anyway. I've been to the DW about 6 times with a mate who supports Chelsea and I don't think it's ever been a sell-out.

I wonder if they'll be arrogant enough to get 'league 1 tour' t-shirts made?

Definitely hoping to give them a whooping in our sparkly new kits after this!

I'm not too worried about what this lad has to say. He's been playing with grandads money already and has at least one failed business venture behind him.
