Reminds me of the Ben Elton book, Stark Stark (novel) - Wikipedia.
Which is an excellent read, ahead of it's time re. environment disasters and ultra rich folk trying to save themselves.
The article of the OP made me chuckle as it was mainly evil Hedge Funds that were present at his talk!
