To last nights pitch incursion is unbelievable not a word from fisher or Boddy , basically the only person who did anything was micheal doyle and i might be wrong but i thought he was paid to be a player not a steward, who knows who this bloke was and i am sure he was just a disgruntled fan but that does not excuse the pathetic response by stewards or the hierarchy today.

Would guess they would have been in touch with the people who look after the stewards to see what happened for themselves.

Is the stewarding down to the club these days? Know there was talk around the time of the pitch invasions that Wasps were trying to take control of it directly and charge the club a fee rather than the club arrange their own.

To be fair Doyle should become a steward - he can't be any worse than he is as a player.

I wasn't there last night but don't the orange coated 'response' stewards leave the ground about 86th minute and this was later?

But yeah god forbid what could have happened, the guy could have got the ball and stuck it in the back of the net!!

We'd have already coached it out of him by the time he got to the penalty area

Wish I could ‘like’ this more than once. It deserves it

As for the stewarding, it is managed by wasps now isn’t it?

Why would Club officials want / need to comment publicly?

I’m sure it won’t go unnoticed but not sure what coming out in public will achieve?

And even if the club did, it’d likely be along the lines of ‘the fan will be identified and banned’ etc etc, which will likely prompt reaction of ‘thats Unfair’, ‘SISU out’ blah blah.

Let’s just move on from it, eh?

If the guy was carrying a plastic pig,the stewards would have wrestled him to the ground and gave him a right good kicking

how long before the 'Plastic Clipboard Police' Stadium Advisory Group want to shut the stand and have 3 rows of Stewards in front of the pitch, in their typical H&S over reaction.

The Stewards are fast enough to make sure nobody gets in thre ground without being searched, but the minute they need to do their real job their nowhere to be seen

The club have made a statement. and the twitter responses are all negative because he's received a lifetime CCFC ban and a stadium ban.
Lifetime seems very harsh

I think people have been reading a different link.

The Ricoh Arena stadium has also issued Mr Kedzierski with a lifetime stadium ban and this applies to all events at the Ricoh Arena, including sport and music concerts.

Coventry City Football Club has issued a club ban to Mr Kedzierski, which applies to home and away matches, for the foreseeable future.

Very harsh of Wasps....errr I mean the Ricoh Arena.

Club rightly giving him a ban for the foreseeable future, I wonder if he was known for trouble or had been part of the previous pitch invasions.

Banned from Coventry games, meaning he will still be able to follow them away. However how could The Ricoh Arena enforce said ban?

Don't think stadium bans in general are that effective. Unless you really stand out and / or do something stupid again you can probably get in without any problem.

The most effective security was Doyle.

The bloke should think himself lucky he never got a two footed challenge for his troubles.

Over the top ridiculous response in a life time ban from the arena, I hope they will come down as hard when a rugger bugger fan enters the field:emoji_thinking:

There is an easy way to stop this sort of thing happening, electrified fencing. Over reaction ? I don't think so, farmers have been using it for decades to keep cows in the field.

Not so, he can still see all the away games he wants.
And since the ban is just the Ricoh, he might be able to watch home games next season.

No, the club has said that he is banned from both home and away games until further notice. On the other hand Wasps have said he has a lifetime ban from the Ricoh. Cunts.

Lifetime ban my arse. I bet you he could walk up today wearing a baseball cap two minutes before kick off and wouldn’t get kicked out.

I know somebody had a ban didn’t stop them attending. Impossible to inforce.

Remind me who the Rugby team are who currently play at that Ricoh? Won’t be too long before they won’t be from what I’m hearing reg there financial mess.

I've not heard anything myself, but have thought something isn't right, can't get a win, fans complaining about the service in the bars etc...

Same here. A lad that I know got a banning order from the police and still attended every home game and most aways. The stewards were aware he was there and was even chanting & making a nucence of himself in the concourse at half time but nobody batted an eyelid.

Can't see how the club could enforce a ban on away games? Maybe the police could? Surely that is up to the home club isn't it if they want to allow anybody in?
