The Butts is being redeveloped.
Have you see the housing blocks they are building there? There is now very little room for expansion.
Realistically, with one temporary stand taking the capacity up to 10,000, would be fine for a few years if a new stadium was built.
Realistically you are not really thinking this through. The permanent stand holds around 3000. They also used to have a temporary stand which was removed after a couple of years due to health and safety concerns. Now bearing all this mind, where do you think they can fit a temporary stand housing 6000 to 7000 people?

why would we need a place with so many empty seats ?
Now that Wasps have full control of the Ricoh and have stated their interest in CRFC, would it not be ideal if CRFC
vacated the Butts to play under the watchful eye of the Wasp's at the Ricoh.
This would leave an empty sports ground near the centre of the City. O/K it's probably owned by CCC but I'm sure
they would welcome CCFC playing there. Yes it would need some redevelopment but would fit in with sisu's wacky
idea of a 10 to 15,000 seater stadium, which if current form continues would be well big enough.
Just a thought.
For the huge games, such as Walsall.
Walsall would be in the league above us! But would have a big 'local' derby v Northampton!!
no.it would be better if sisu just fuck off and die

The way we're going the Butts will be too big
This is what SISU has reduced us to.
You are still not thinking it through. The land currently houses one stand. A temporary stand was removed. Where do you propose the temporary stands are placed? At one end of the site there is a railway line....In all fairness a 7000 seater would be fine for us in League Two.
In terms of a temporary stand, add a couple similar to the one at Gillingham.
The OP is deluded, the site is hemmed in & there are a plans to develop sheltered social housing around it, which are already progressing well, go have a look, this is not 1955!
The Butts is good for a regular crowd of 2000 & no more, also very importantly in this decade of mass car ownership there is f**k all parking nearby.
