It can't be the same as last year or before surely? I can't remember the last time a transfer window was like this, with players from abroad too?

Must have been some high earners on the books last season. Great not to be in an embargo and being able to sign players feels like a real club now

Clive said on the phone in that TM and MV made a point of holding some of the budget back for the January transfer window. Looking like a wise move.

Who could have been high earners? Understandably there were a few years ago but can't think of any from last year.

I dread to think what might have been had Pressley had this kind of money to use!

Maybe we just saved the money from what was in his kitty for when we had someone more reliable in

Reda. He must have been on a decent packet, especially with how long talks took for him to agree new terms......

True, i would think the championship players we had were on good money too.

Can't think of any others than Johnson now you mention him.

The likes of Jackson the German and half the bournemouth squad would of been on handy money and knowing how things were run we were probably paying all the wages where as under tm and mv they have probably got better deals paying small percentage of wages what a difference a year makes

Sisu realise just how close we are.& it's no fluke it's cool headed ,shrewd management.& they know with a tad more help TM will have us over the line.

I can't believe the budget is lower than last year, I'm not buying it.

I just think TM & MV are showing sisu and the rest of them how to properly run a club and a tight budget by giving them more control.

A lot of these players will be on performance money and with Tony mowbray at the helm you attract naturally better players than SP ever could.

To go with that we are January and we are top 4 with a great squad and looking to kick on. Let's just hope it works. I have my reservations about hunt but short term no harm can be done surely? It's things like this that mean they don't cost much money.

With increasing gates and all that revenue maybe this is the extra money?

Keiran Crowley tweet earlier this evening which clearly indicates that the extra ticket revenues are being re-invested back into the playing budget;

A lot of questions on our budget. With attendances up, these signings have been possible. You are doing this. Let's hope it continues. #PUSB

It may have started off lower than last year, however with the increase in attendances and likely extra off the field revenues too (kit sales etc) it is likely more now.

It could be lower - we could still have spent more this season for the statement to be factually correct.

Whatever the budget started at,it's gone up we are 10 points clear of 7th place. They know it's worth a few
Quid to at least consolidate that position.question is if we do go up and start well, will they be tempted to
really go for it.

If we can get a few more thousand down the Ricoh we can complete the signing of Messi.

Think he'd end up on the bench to be honest.

Anyone know how it works, as if have thought you would have to predict your spending at the start of the year for FFP? Rather than it keep changing as the attendances do.

Or are we OK given that we predicted 12000 (was it?) average and keep hitting it so are allowed to spend?

Its reviewed throughout the season so you can't say we'll get 20K and then only 10K turn up. So if we submitted our budget based on 12K and show we are getting more than that we can increase our budget without breaking the FFP rules.

You predict your spending based on projected income but you don't predict for whole season, I think the season is split into quarters for FFP so say every 2 or 3 months you can adjust your ffp budget if your income has increased.
