I've just spotted that City are away at Bristol Rovers on the same day that The Book of Mormon is in town. I worked down there for quite a few years and tend to make the trip when I can to see old friends, think I'll definitely be aiming for a double-header this time! It's also on in Birmingham during March as part of a tour (not sure where else), if you like South Park then this is probably something you'll like!

Seen it twice. If you’re not easily offended, well worth a watch !

Loved it. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are geniuses even if South Park hits a bum not on occasion. Plus I can’t resist a comedy song.

Got tickets for B’ham in March. Saw it a couple of years ago in London and loved it so really looking forwards to seeing it again.

Yeah i think we got to 'hasa diba eebowaye' and i knew i was for an absolute treat. I'm fairly sure at least one couple sat in front of us didn't come back after the interval, not to everyone's taste clearly!

I saw it a few years ago in London and it is hilarious!

As above a few people didn’t come back after the interval as well.

Well worth a watch if you can get tickets.

I frequent London for shows quite often and Book of Mormon remains the best I've ever seen. Going over to Birmingham in March to watch it.

I've seen it twice, once on Broadway and the other on The West End. We're off to see it again in January. It's absolutely hilarious!

Had tickets to see this in Manchester earlier this year but something came up last minute. Will definitely make the trip to see it in Birmingham.

I want to see war of the world's too.

On stage i presume? The BBC have got a version coming out soon i think? It will be set in Victorian/Edwardian times which i've been wanting them to do for ages.

Yeah, on stage, it uses holograms and is narrated by Liam Neeson. It's meant to be excellent.

I've no idea what Book of Mormon you are talking about, but here is the Mormon temple in St. George, Utah.

The Mormon back story is about as mad as that invented by L. Ron Hubbard.

Fairly sure the early Mormons were guilty of a massacre during the gold rush. Or perhaps I'm confusing them with some other crackpot fringe religion.
Thought it was only the big boys who got up to that sort of thing.

Had a look and there was a Mountain Meadows Massacre in 1857 which was done by a Mormon militia.

I was more talking about the gold plates that Joseph Smith 'found' and 'translated' through his hat, even though when he was asked to translate them a second time the translation was slightly different!. No-one else was allowed to see or read them and when the authorities ordered him to present them they all of a sudden had had to be given back to the angel he got them from, but somehow a load of other people suddenly said they'd seen them before they were given back.

Completely mad but I guess no more mad than every other religion.

No i do think they've gone up a few levels of bonkers with their particular version. Something i love about the musical is that there is a message in there that maybe it doesn't matter if the stories are total bs if the impact is ultimately good. I love the widespread profanities and toilet humour mainly though.

Does sound like Parker and Stone. Think they did a South Park episode around this very premise as well.

There's a few Mormon missionaries around town at the minute, I keep walking past them.

How disappointed would you be to be sent to Coventry rather than China, or Mozambique.
