I've always recorded the Big Match Revisited on BT Sport but very rarely watch them. Going through loads of them now.

Currently watching us Vs Man City, we're two-nil up in the first half, Melrose and Hateley. 12th Feb 83.

I seen that on bt sports last Sunday afternoon, program finishes with a hat-trick from teenage-sensation Eric Black at Aberdeen.

Was our first XI good for its time or average for a Division 1 team?

Average in absolute terms due to inexperience but massively promising and had we kept that team together we’d have had a brilliant few years ahead.

GIllespie was fantastic though and Gerry Francis was the ex-England captain. Danny Thomas would also go onto better things.
