Iirc the Gillingham game was £10 adults, I think unless the club put an offer on it’s going to be disappointing

Yeah Forest won’t sell 6k here for a Sunday game on Sky. Only club outside of the traditional top 6 who could do that is Leeds

One thing they certainly won't do either is bring down at most 1000

If restrictions are lifted , there is no chance they bring less than 2000 , il place money on it I'm that confident

An average of 2000 over 23 matches is good btw

Last full season with fans in their attendances were second only to Leeds I think. They’re one of the biggest crowds in the division easily.

And top 6 / 7 average away followings over the season too .

I'd expect a club like Rotherham to bring 1000 fans here on Sunday TV season opener not forest

Just looked it up. In Leicester’s promotion season from the Championship they averaged 200 fewer away fans than Forest.

This.

We must be the most attendance-obsessed fans in the country (probably because since the '81 all-seater we've had poor gates compared to our `rivals')

If allowed I would expect Forest to bring about 3,000. If it had been a non TV game I would have expected up to 4,500 with it being the first game of the season, but definitely not 6,000.

Triyng to think of the teams who have sold the away end out, Leeds, Blues when King scored the equaliser, Leicester opening day of season, Chelsea in the FA Cup, think West Ham did too

5th according to this

Yes agreed, you definitely can't argue that they are poorly supported, just that their away support doesn't match up to the level of their home support (not when they've come to Cov anyway).

With the announcement just now that restrictions will be lifted on the 19th , I'm guessing all 32000 seats will be available

Remember the atmosphere for the Blackburn FA cup match was awesome from the start even though there were far fewer fans in the stadium. When Chelsea came the atmosphere was rubbish even before Drogba scored.

Will everyone have to have the vaccine chip fully installed to enter the ground do you think? Mine is only half way uploaded and not due to completed until mid august.

Mines is in. Just worried that as I make my way to the game on the opening day Bill Gates might make me divert to the bingo.

New season hopes and dreams

If we cant muster pushing a full house off the back of that then maybe we need to come to terms with being a small club

That’s just bollocks. We’re not a big club and we’re not a small club, we’re as big as how we’re doing on the pitch. Sunderland had 20,000 unsold tickets for a playoff semifinal, are they a pathetic small club?

It’s not so black or white. Give us a promotion push and they’d need to play the game twice to fit everyone in, start of the season on TV? 20kish. And there’s nothing dramatic about that.

Certainly more than once. We’ve had this discussion loads when attendances are down and generally it’s accepted football is pretty price inelastic.

We’ll see but I’m just saying we had all these arguments last time, even when the price was known, and the usual suspects said we’d struggle to hit 20k. And then we hadn’t just had our first league title in a lifetime and been banned from stadia for 18 months.
