I'm gonna guess at 2700.

Poor, or a good following?

I'd go for that, 4000 tops. But I think the less go the stronger the "enough is enough" message will be. It's time to go home, not that it was ever time to leave.

I guess it depends on Tuesdays fixture. If we beat Barnsley, people will be tempted.

Don't you mean the annual debate on why we shouldn't go to games against them?

No, I'd rather just hear how many people think we will take.

So would most of us.

Maybe about 4,000. Not far away and main roads all the way. Good day out. Plenty of tickets available.

The debate you seem determined to start?

Don't need to. There are certain people on here as you know that will use it for point scoring. Fantastic.

Well I've been avoiding the subject, but you seem determined I shouldn't.

Is that the debate fuelled by people who claim the right to go to Sixfields, have the right to an opinion against the majority; yet harbour bitter resentment to Coventry fans who attend MK Dons, Arsenal in the Cup, Crewe in the Cup and went to the Everton game at Wembley and anybody who adopted NOPM?

It's irrelevant, if people want to go it's their choice. I personally won't be going MK Dons or Sixfields, my choice.
Hopefully get to see Coventry on the road when work schedules allow.

So maybe not throw the bait out to start it?

I'm doing my best to be on good behaviour re: this, this season... and you and Astute are not helping!

It was sarcasm and immediately followed up with a freedom of choice view which I hoped put it into context. With your help I am sure it has been ;-)

Hopefully interest will pick up this week, especially after the win yesterday.

Then again, smaller, more hardcore following will result in a better atmosphere in any case.

I agree with that, but only if the away end is a smaller one. I think the atmosphere at MK will be horrendous if the following is any less that 3000, it will sound like the Ricoh did on them empty Tuesday night games.

We won't take that many to Swindon. Bit like Preston, we never take many.

Away on holiday, would have been there as the last 2 matches there were great. The following will be lower as a lot on holiday.

I think it will be around 3500 to 4k. Probably hampered slightly by being so early in the season, where as previously the season was well under way, and it had a bit of a snowball effect.

3,500 but a win tonightat Barnsley, we will push 4K. I went last year it was a class day out, Maguire was the difference. Remember him? Not going this year though.

I honestly thought the atmosphere was crap with 7K last season until we scored the goals, then everyone came alive, but for a good porportion of the game we was poor, and had 5 6 different areas all trying to sing and repeat the same Sky Blue song... annoying.
