You missed an awful lot out from 'what happened next'.
The first thing Jimmy Hill did was to buy the best goalkeeper CCFC could afford. I believe it broke CCFCs transfer fee record. Then he proceeded to buy the best striker in the division. Yes, if Jimmy Hill had been around, he would have been the one buying Callum Wilson not the one selling him.
Totally different situation and circumstances back then and it will not happen again in any of our lifetimes.
