Started a thread on this afew months back, def missing a trick with leaving it empty... if done right could look impressive and intimidating for visiting teams

Remember the olympic symbol and flags in 2012 on the roundabout. Thinking it looked decent

Really hope to have something there for next season, especially when you consider the amount of eyes that will be on us and the city next year

Yeah we got given some bs excuse last time we asked about this but hopefully now they’ll be a bit more cooperative.

Surely if they could never be used they’d be taken down. They look shit as they are.

Personaly I would live to see some sort of Menacing huge wire sculpture that encorperates elimements of the Badge. Elephant on its hind legs with trunk high in the air, Phoenix coming out of some flames (water feature with red/orange/yellow lights) and some turrets for the castle

I was responsible for the "City Dressing" for Coventry's participation in the 2012 Olympics. I had the flag-poles installed and also the foundations for the Olympic rings. The Flagpoles were only supposed to be temporary and are mounted on very long ground spikes... they've lasted well. The foundation for the rings should be good for a CCFC crest. After the Olympics, the flagpoles were used regularly to promote events at the Ricoh but that stopped happening. Great idea though

Does anyone still have that massive Zulu that was at the old zoo entrance - that would scare the life out of anyone.

Three of us were ribboning the ring road at the bottom of the Radford Road and the police gave us a lift to the canal basin
