Not in such a congested and testing time frame thoughOnly 2 of the games this month are against the current top 6? I see why you'd include Ipswich, they'll probably be top 6 by the weekend, just about (although this would still leave us playing only 2 of the top 6, albeit Ipswich twice, so 3 games). We've beaten 2nd, 3rd & 4th, all away, by an aggregate score of 9-2.
I agree-it’s Hollywood or bust as there will be a few departures I would imagine if we don’t make it. The likes of Wright/Rudoni/Milan/Rushworth et al will be a tough ask to replace.
Not the parachute teamsThese threads always fail to mention that every other team in the division will be stretched by injuries and fatigue .
And other team have got it easy? Ipwich have an extra one this week this the team everyone of the bedwetters seem to be worried about 1 win in 3 home games. They are currently 16 points behind us and vastly inferior GD stop worrying, enjoy the rideNot in such a congested and testing time frame though
Are you forgetting we are the top 1?5 of those games are against the top 6, 3 against parachute clubs. And we are cursed at Preston. Disappointing but not inconceivable.
Their parachutes haven’t opened yetNot the parachute teams
If there's any wobbling to be done, it'll be done by the wobbly bits of the SBA as they jump for joy in the weeks up to Christmas.
Rest assured, you're not alone.Hey, I resemble that remark!
Rest assured, you're not alone.
I have the opposite problem. I lost most of my wobbly bits and got constant remarks on how well I looked. But my new partner is only 5'7" and is petite. So now I don't have the wobbly bits to help me keep warm when winter arrives and she makes me look big againThe better half said the other day, "Oh, I just bumped into 'big Mick' in town. He's put on a fair bit of weight,I tell you. He makes you look thin!"
I'm now pondering if this wasn't quite the compliment that I first thought.
I had this very thought earlier today. While I won’t believe it until it happens, if we don’t go up now…Crazy when you think we've just won 11 out of 12. And we have 28 games left to find potentially 13 more.
I swear if it doesn't happen for us this season I will need to find a new hobby because it would just be too much for me to deal with.
That’s true, but I think that parachute payment teams should reap their advantage at this point. Not saying we’re defo not going up, I just think it won’t be as comfortable as we are now.weve won 13 and need to win maybe another 13 with say 5 draws and 10 defeats to hit 87 points
Ipswich have won 7 and need to win maybe another 18 with say 6 draws and 4 defeats to hit 88 points to overtake us
in the last week, the parachute teams have had 4 games and won 1 point . In fact, they have lost as many points in 5 days across 4 games, as we have all seasonThat’s true, but I think that parachute payment teams should reap their advantage at this point. Not saying we’re defo not going up, I just think it won’t be as comfortable as we are now.
Ipswich are playing like a bunch of strangers and are 15 points and 21 goals behind us.That’s true, but I think that parachute payment teams should reap their advantage at this point. Not saying we’re defo not going up, I just think it won’t be as comfortable as we are now.
based on the fact that teams play each otherPutting an optimistic slant on it, if current PPG is maintained the season pans out as follows:
32 games - mathematically safe from relegation
37 games - play offs secure
38 games - promoted
39 games - champions
Put the dates in your diaries
The bookies won't even take your money on us making the playoffs, they're that sure we'll make the playoffs. All models indicate we'd need to capitulate to mess up even automatic promotion because as people have mentioned, the amount of wins needed to hit 90 points for the other teams is ridiculous. It's quite possible that 85 points secures 2nd at this rate as Boro in 2nd are only averaging 1.83 ppg.based on the fact that teams play each other
after 32 games we are heading for 72 points, I would imagine even mathematically it would be earlier than that
I know I’m being pessimistic but for some reason, I think Bristol City will hold us to a draw.
The reality is that it will be roughly 50 points and that will probably be achieved within the next few games.based on the fact that teams play each other

we should be able to declare at some point. and use any extra points for next seasonThe reality is that it will be roughly 50 points and that will probably be achieved within the next few games.
Gonna get the 'miserable c**t' shouts but i do feel this is gonna be our wobble
We've never beaten Preston away in the league. Ever. 140 years. We're cursed, so back to back defeats potentially
I think we beat Brizzle at home, I fancy us against half the premier league at home tbf,
But then Southampton i feel will be a cut a paste of today, leaving us 1 win 3 defeats in 4. Enough to still be top, but with an almost completely eroded lead.
The good thing is after Blues on Jan 4th weve played 10 of the current top 12 away. Doesnt get much harder than that
Agreed. We just have to hold our nerve when the wobble comes.Gonna get the 'miserable c**t' shouts but i do feel this is gonna be our wobble
