(Dont' worry Mark Robins hasn't gone already, after seeing last night's debacle, but wouldn't blame him if he did!)

Apparently Daniel Gidney Chief Executive Officer of ACL has resigned. He has another job to go to but apparently he has become disillusioned about the prospect of Coventry City Council doing a deal with SISU for the Ricoh.

Here we go again!

He works for ACL not CCFC or SISU. This has no more relevance on the CCFC revolving door than me Going into Morrisons Binley.

difference between morrisons and CCFC is, if you go into the CCFC door you'll be back out much quicker than morrisons

Thing is ACL door is not CCFC or Morrisons. So it's like we are talking about 3 doors here.

Something must be going on behind the scenes. I wonder if PWKH could share...

This development smells bad. Also look at this story that just appeared on http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/n...uncil_ricoh_gagging_order_758592/index.shtml?

Coventry City Conservative Councillors are refusing to sign a confidentuality agreement on negotiations between the Council, Arena Coventry Limited and Coventry City FC over issues such as the rent for Sky Blues using the Ricoh Arena, which was built with public money.

This agreement to which CCFC officials have already agreed to sign up to, along with the Labour Councillors, was put to them by Chris West and Martin Reeves who are the Council's representatives on Arena Coventry Limited.
Councillor Kevin Foster told the CT's Les Reid: "We objected to the breadth of what we were being asked to sign. Our first duty is to those who send us here as their elected representatives, not to other organisations or groups.
"We recognise that it would be inappropriate to make publicly available some information shared with Councillors, but we are not prepared to sign up to sweeping statements on broad areas for five years. It's a gagging order."

Why the hell should the people of Coventry's representatives not be allowed to disclose the very dealings that they were elected for?

This is sad news, Daniel Gidney has done a fantastic job for ACL at the Ricoh
