That's true in one context. But it doesn't have a bearing on SISU's inability to capitalise on why should have been a fresh start

Depends how much previous dealings hamstrung them from the start. A fresh start isn't really a fresh start.

Does that absolve them from blame? No. Does that mean it's the kind of examination that should have taken place long ago? Yes. Does that mean because it's in the past it should be swept under the carpet? No.

But WillieStanley and stupot, of course the reasons are an issue and of course certain dates are relevent but to keep harping on about them to Fisher and his side-kick doesn't solve the where we play does it. On Monday it needs the whole hour on that subject alone, where do we play ? what about various cup-ties ? what if it is Walsall or even Wolves when a home game for us do we get most of the tickets ? do the Walsall/Wolves fans go in the away end ? What if the locals kick-up ? What about security for our fans every other week ? All relevent issues, none answered as yet. We have had two forums and both have been dominated by financial issues which is meat and drink to Fisher and friend.

Amazingly, I agree with you.

The format doesn't allow to and fro, he's not really saying anything new, so let's get some practicalities nailed down about what will happen.

Still won't help this mess be fixed, but forget boycotts or anything else, if there's no ground and no tickets to buy the club's dead whatever happens!

They should have let the club enter administration back at the time, and bought it out of administration; shorn of some historical debt, with due diligence highlighting the oppressive contracts.

For example, if back then two interested parties had tendered bids and seen the Compass JV would hinder te development of the club; Compass take a view on that feedback. Stick to their contract and risk getting nothing, or offer better terms to attract the new parties to the table. Ditto with the rent.

Going back to Compass, cap in hand, when they're years into an existing contract isn't going to produce the same result.

That's simple business and negotiating. And the worst thing being; it's not hard

The fans wouldn't have bought that, they were determined to go with Elliott's vision of SISU and shares handed over rather than administration and potential oblivion.

It wasn't the fans decision. SISU have to stand by the wisdom of the decisions they make. That's what running a business is all about. Making the right decisions, even if they're hard, not the popular ones.

As for oblivion. We're an interesting proposition now. A league lower, with gates halved. We'd have been even more attractive then, make no mistake

It was.

We didn't have to join in the pressure on people to hand over shares.

We could have campaigned for administration rather than SISU.

If you argue it wasn't our decision then, then any protest, any boycott, any question at a forum now is a total waste of time.

So you think we pressured SISU into buying the club? Your posts this day aren't matching your chosen nom de plume, dear chap

I don't know if its relevant but for the record I think the Compass deal with ACL wasn't signed until 2008 possibly March or a year later than that.get where i'm coming from ,they were clueless along with not confronting all of these issues at the getgo.

there were ready made fan protests against the council position at that time.

I think to enter into dialogue with him with regards ticket arrangements for Walsall cup ties etc implies interest in following the club to 'home' matches there and the slippery creep really will be getting let off the hook....To me that is a 'buying signal' and I for one am not buying! The message delivered to him on Monday needs to be one which leaves him in no doubt at all that this suicidal plan will not work without the support of the fans and that's something they will never get.

You have a point but it would test just how much real homework has been done and if a lot of it is bluster and bullshit.

True but he'll just come out with more bullshit and say they've had talks with blah blah blah and we'll announce blah blah blah when we come out of administration. I think Monday is our last opportunity to have him leaving the Holiday Inn with his ears ringing with the reinforcement of our complete lack of support for this stupid plan so he gets straight on the phone to Joy and says "Look this isn't going to work, we need to think again".
