Thanks for helping us still have a club to support. It's scary to think how easily we could have been stuck on a terminal downward spiral without his efforts over these years.

I hope to christ someone knows what they're doing.

Said it before and will say it now . No other manager in my nearly 50 years of following my beloved club has give me so many good times and memories.

Very sad end for a true legend

My most sustained period of enjoyment watching City.
Sillets years were great but didn't last as long.

Still feels like a nightmare, wow thanks for everything Mark I hope we all wake up tomorrow and it was all just a bad dream. Club legend, sky blue blood, deserved so much more. 1 penalty kick from the premier league to sacked before Christmas. Always one of us PUSB

Without him, this club potentially doesn't exist. The bloke will always be a legend. F*cking clueless, shortsighted decision.

The whole infrastructure let him down, from the players upward.

Hope captain Ben is feeling happier now, that the shouty staff have all left, and only George and Rhys are left to stroke his little ego, now.

As captain, he should be ashamed of himself, he’s meant to be the managers voice on that field, and he only turns up when he feels like it! Fuck him, and his puffed up indifference.

Genuinely gutted for him and the club. Stuck by us through thick and thin, he deserved a lot more than this, and certainly more than a sentence of thanks from King.
Genuinely feels a bit dirty supporting the team after this, its like Take That all over again!!

Can’t put into words what he’s done for the club over past 7 years. Might not even have a club if not for him. Words don’t do it justice, he deserved better than this snd to go on his terms.

Fuming at this group of players for what they’ve done this season.

I'm absolutely gutted.....massively the wrong call.

He gave us back respect amongst other teams fan bases...something that money can not buy. We were no longer a club to be laughed at.....already I've had supporters of other teams msging their dis belief of what has happened.

Just so depressing that it’s come to this. He’s been the best manager in my lifetime and there isn’t a close second, he deserved better than this.

Genuinely shocked. Not sure how to feel, other than it’s definitely hit me harder than expected.

Big, big part of this club. And pivotal to some amazing memories.

Legend. Devastating way for it to end.

He stuck with us through our darkest times. We as a club should have stuck with him through his. Deserved the season.

Had my Robins concerns but this was never going to be an easy day.

Born in 1988, so missed the cup final. the man finally gave me a positive reason to support this great club. Deserves a statue

thanks Mark for everything. He’s walked so the club can run.

My favourite manager was always Gordon Milne who, without question, nurtured a team that, for two to three years, was one of the best in England .
There is, of course, the great Sillet and Curtis era that brought us our greatest ever success and preceeding all of this, the legendary Jimmy Hill who put Coventry City at the top of the pyramid where we stayed for the next 34 years.

Mark Robins didn't do any of that. He saved us from extinction. He dragged us from the bottom to within a penalty kick off the top division on a shoestring budget. He is a true hero and I will always look out for his results wherever he goes and genuinely hope he is successful.

Incredibly disappointed - the decision to let one of our best managers of all time leave the club is just wrong.

I hope that the contributors on here who have been calling for his dismissal this season (and even in previous seasons) feel good about themselves. Morons.

Where's the statue? He's earned it. We were getting around 8K (or lower) at the Arena when Robins joined, now its 27K and a lot of that is down to him.

Up there with the all time greats in the entire history of the club.

Not sure there are many who can say they pretty much rebuilt a club from top to bottom and unified the club and fans in the same way, all on their own in the face of constant turmoil.

An all time hero of CCFC

7 years ago my old man had a heart attack and despite living in London I promised myself I’d start going back to football with him again.

Since then I’ve watched us rise up from nothing to 4 Wembley appearances and the happiness that bloke brought to me and my family is immeasurable, if you don’t truly support a football club you’ll never understand this statement and the vast majority of the public will laugh it off but…

Mark Robins genuinely has delivered some of the greatest moments of my life, the disrespect that after 12 games of a season the egotistical tit can get rid of him is unforgivable.

I don’t see how King wins the fans back around after this and I genuinely think this could be the start of a downward spiral for us.

Mark, if you read this thank you. I don't know where our club would be today with the loyalty you've shown through so many difficult periods. I'm sorry and ashamed we haven't treated you with the same loyalty in return. I have so many great memories of being a Sky Blues fan and you led us for most of them. I hope you will feel able to come back sometime to a packed out place where you can tell us your favourite memories. We'd love a chance to give you the biggest cheer ever, and get you walking in that winter wonderland again. My favourite memory - it's a tough choice - that play off away leg at Notts County when I think the fan/player/staff togetherness was at its height. I have never felt so proud to be a Sky Blue and every time I feel a bit down, I only have to think of that night to smile and want to jump up and down. I think I'll be feeding off that feeling for life. You'll always be a hero around here. Please remember us fans kindly because no-one I have spoken to today wanted this to happen.

Be interesting when he gets his next job who is assistant manager is, might show how much he was behind the summers changes.

I wish him good luck wherever he goes unless it’s a team I don’t like.
