If they try and bring her back on that basis she should immediately be arrested and locked up for a long time.

you can only revoke citizenship if a person has dual nationality.
While she's in Syria we're under no obligation to give her consulate support as it's not available due to the current state of the country.
If she makes her way to a country where it's available, I think the nearest would be Turkey it would be a different story.
If she does return then surely she has to be jailed?

She'd only been in Syria 10 days and gets married to a total stranger just because he was a Jihadist! She was 15! Jeez! Says a lot for her doesn't it? 2 bleedin' sprogs and another on the way as well. Sod the bitch! Let her rot over there!

Why should we pay to jail her and the constant cost of keeping her there, no return means no costs, I would also be keeping a very close look at the rest of her family and the first slip up they would be off as well.

Playing Devils Advocate here but why the fuck should Syria be dumped with her? Haven't they got enough problems of their own?

How many in the UK jump on the 'send 'em home bandwagon' when Pete the Pole or Ahmed the Afghani are in the news for doing something wrong?

Something needs to be done with her but I'm not sure just letting her slip away into the wilderness would be the best thing to do if she then suddenly pops up in say Brussels with a suicide vest on?

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer?

According to some civil servant on the radio tonight we may have to if she makes it out of Syria.
I also heard her interview, she sounds cold as ice, I wouldn't trust her at all.

Can’t think of any airlines that don’t allow you to travel alone once you hit 14, lot of airlines allow younger than that.

thought they would have to have some sort of parental consent.
Seems a bit irresponsible not to.

As much as I want to see her rot in the cave she is living in but surely we want to deal with these IS supporters? Get her, lock her up and maybe get some vital intelligence on what they are up too? Could be the difference between carpet bombing another innocent town or a specific target down the line?

Either way don’t give a shit, if she gets here her freedom should be revoked but I doubt she would last long in prison either

Come on Stu, you know how lenient our judicial system is. Chances are she'd get a hot-shot lawyer to keep her out of prison. But if she does end up inside, it will NOT help her "de-radicalization"! The two guys who carried out the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris were banged up for something minor THEN got radicalized in prison, and committed the attack when they were released.
If we can't revoke the citizenship of someone like this, who are we going to do it for?
As I understand it, she has dual nationality with ? Bangladesh.
Yes, there will be those that argue she was a "silly little girl" when she left at the age of 15, but she certainly ain't now - she's a fucking hard-nosed unrepentant jihadist and traitor to the UK. Let her and her evil spawn rot in hell, wherever that may be!

What's Corbyn got to do with it?

It cracks me up how the far right loonies want to stake a claim to patriotism as if if it's their own. It isn't, I'm as proud of being English as anyone, I'd just like a country where it's a bit fairer for everyone.

Funnily enough the real patriots, the people who actually put their lives on the line in their millions for the country got that, hence electing a Government that built the NHS and the welfare state shortly after WW2. That would be very a left-wing administration by today's standards, but hardly unpatriotic.

Anyway, onto the matter in hand. The girl should be treated according to the law. We're not obliged to bring her back, but if she finds her way back here she's a British Citizen and should be treated as such. If the suggestion is that she's committed a crime or in any way aided or conspired in the commission of one, or could provide information on such, then she should be held according to the law, thoroughly investigated and dealt with. If not, but she is still considered a threat, then she should be monitored - that might not be ideal but we don't yet live in a place when you can be arrested for what people think you might do. I suppose the question here is do you believe in the rule of law, or not.

For my money an honest account of life under ISIS might be enough to put off any girl daft enough to think of shipping off again. She's hardly doing a great job of recruiting girls to the Caliphate, is she?!

Just seen on Facebook (not the greatest and sensible source) 99% want no return.

But one comment hit home

She wants to come home for the safety of her baby

I want her to stop there for the safety of mine.

I am afraid I tend to agree with him.

Apart from the humane bit I'm pretty sure they feel exactly the same about us. Better to rise above their shit. Also as a pro Irish nationalist (I believe, apologies if incorrect) I'm sure you can appreciate the power making someone into a martyr can have. Easy propaganda for their recruiters killing a woman asking for safety for their baby. I'm not saying we should look after her or take her in at all, just don't think killing is the best way to go about it.
