A banner handed out on the night outside the ground would be best. To be honest I wouldn't condemn any reasonable demonstration idea - direct action is all that's left for the fans.

If anyone decides on the tennis ball idea better take two and hide them in your nether regions as the Emirates stewards maybe wise to the protest.

I agree that the Arsenal match is a great opportunity to make waves. Forget trying to influence SISU or the Council – throughout this dispute, they’ve both proved many times that the fans come a distant second to their vested interests. It’s time to REALLY target the Football League & FA, and embarrass the hell out of them.

The League’s role in all this has been shameful, allowing the move to Northampton for THREE TO FIVE BLOODY YEARS! We hadn’t been made homeless by our ground being redeveloped or anything, it was just a rent dispute! If they couldn’t insist on CCFC staying in Coventry while talks took place, they should at least have set a sensible time limit – 12 months maximum, followed by a review and genuine sanctions if good faith wasn’t shown. But they cowered under the threat of CCFC failing to fulfil its fixtures, and they’ve been claiming ever since to have no powers. Don’t they control the Golden Share?

I’m assuming that CCFC will very soon put out a good explanation for the apparent discrepancy between their public statements about stadium discussions, and the FOI replies we’ve now had from the various Councils. In the absence of that, it would be impossible to avoid the conclusion that supporters have been fed outright lies in pursuit of the owners’ commercial interests. If that were the case, the Football League would surely be OBLIGED to take action.

So how about it Trust? Put into action whatever great ideas you may have for this TV occasion – but I think the only productive target is the football authorities who have betrayed us when we needed them. Anyone disagree, or would we rather have punch-ups between the anti-SISU/anti-Council factions shown on the telly?

Except that for a fair few of those planning to go to Arsenal, it will probably be their only game of the season/year (at least since the JPT final) & its a big night out......There will be at least 6500 city fans there regardless of any attempts to boycott....

That would be the same if we are still at the Ricoh. "I've always supported the lads well from my armchair anyway"

Throwing objects onto the pitch is an offence for which the club could be punished for.

More importantly fans could get banning orders.

I do not want to be a kill joy, but I do not wish to see any city fan fall foul of the law through protesting.

Sorry, but if you really want to lose national sympathy for our plight disrupting a high-profile game is the best way to do it. I know that there are plans being put together for effective publicity without risking our reputation.

Am I the only one who thinks completely opposite to this?

If I saw a club in a similar plight to ours upset a big game, which is being broadcast live on TV, I'd be saying fair fucks to them and certainly not slagging them off.

I would just prefer to do something...ANYTHING, than to just sit there peacefully and watch somebody destroy our club. If it's not tennis balls then fine, but we just need to get as much attention as we possibly can.

I'd happily get thrown out of the ground if it meant a couple of thousand people watching googled "why are Coventry playing in Northampton".

I'm sure I'd get over it.

The point is this is the perfect opportunity to get some media coverage and show some form of protest to let others know that we ain't happy with the fuck pigs who are slowing running our club into the ground.

I'm sure some geezer sat in a pub in Bournemouth or Carlisle isn't really gonna give two fucks about Arsenal/Cov being held up for 10 minutes due to a protest, in fact I would imagine it would be like when you're sat in a boozer watching a match and it starts kicking off in thr ground, every fucker is trying to watch the fighting and what is going on in the crowd than they are the football.

Tennis balls are a bad idea the kcic protest will get more coverage as it is thought provoking rather than disruptive, media are unlikely to focus on anything that may be copied by other fans to the detriment of the game.

So if we are searched no banners etc.

Easy if you are travelling down in a group then all we need is some A3 or A4 paper and put a big letter on each one then stand in a row and spell out whatever you want. fold them up and put them in your pocket wallets etc even have 2 or so if they find 1 you have spares. then hand them out if necessary.

15 of us going.:thinking about:
