Kanu, by getting him a slot on the Torch relay it guaranteed his signature.

It was actually Kanu? I saw someone's grainy photo and assumed it was just a lookalike. Why Kanu?

the striker could also be finnish international mikael forssell, he was released by leeds after last season. forssell has stated that he wants to continue his career in england, but championship could be too much for him so why not in league one...

We may not have the best financial situation around but don't get me wrong experienced players or young players who want to show what they can do will want to come to coventry because we are a 'big club' so if waggot and fisher pull their fingers out we could get some decent signings imo

I'd take any of the above. But knowing us it'll be some San Marino 'striker' with 1 goal in 57 or something.

Can't see us getting Fleck. He is too good for Div3. A top striker as well?

If both happened we would have a chance of winning the division. Find it hard to believe though, although we have got rid of players on high wages to free up money for new players. Sounds like we have a chance of having the best side in Div3

Not necessarily. Perhaps AT told him he'll build the team around him. Big fish in a small pond and all that Jazz.

By 'build the team around him' I mean cobble the youth team around him.

Surely we need a Centre Midfielder just as much as we need strikers because i don't see who is going to take control of the midfield and make some quality passes and who can take the ball under pressure as Andy wants to play passing football, we have bigi who isn't strong enough on the ball, i'd bring in Brian Howard or Matt Oakley or even a good League 2 Player.

Astute, with all due respect, are you serious?.

I am getting excitied about having a chance at staying up if we sign these.

I take it you are thinking maybe Keogh and Cranie are staying.

Because if we have a 6 out 3 in policy again, we will get the same result.

Dont want to knock the positive news...... about time CCFC had some positive news..... if one, either or both of Fleck and Kilbane come then thats positive and great......... if neither do then ............

just a question..... why would an current international striker want to play in the 3rd division ...... or is it a former international on the way down ? If we can get someone in with quality then I applaud that....

We should've never shoved Mifsud out onto the wing. Last player we had, who was actually quicker than my Gran.

It's not the same result as these players are of significant quality and would be far superior than most in that league. It's a quality over quantity argument. Let's just say kilbane, fleck and Beattie arrived. Then also let's say 2 or 3 run of the mill players also came in then we would definately have a shot at promotion.
