Why would he be tempted to move even further away from his family?

Does it say where he is emerging as the prime target? Is he the bookies favourite now?

Why would we want an Aston Martin when we've got an Aaron one?

Further away from home and a mad American owner, ok we have a mad owner to but at least she is busy off in court with everybody.

I can't see this happening but personally wouldn't blame him if he left. Fulham are light years ahead of us in terms of standing, squad and finances.

The only place this seems to be reported is the CT, sounds like a made up story to me.

Yep, it isn't reported anywhere else. It's starting a rumour for clicks. Like how it says it will worry fans..

It's not like the CT to publish negative CCFC stories....

Sprat to catch a mackerel ?

We need TM on a longer contract and Andy Turner knows that as well as we do so bang a little story out, bound to be linked with every championship job that comes up

Anybody who thinks teams aren't monitoring Mowbrey are deluded, he is the best Manager by far in this league. Not only that, get Mowbrey before January and you might get Armstrong on loan. Newcastle are happy with Mowbrey managing his development, rather than Coventry City managing his development.

I just hope Mowbrey wants to see the job through here. If he gets us up then I think it's Premier League teams banging his door...I think that is when he will go.

One thing in our favour, it took him a long time to sort his contract out because he wanted certain levels of control and assurances. Would he have that free range of management at another club?

If we lose a manager to a club who has a neutral end then I don't know what I'll do

If Middlesbrough or Ipswich was looking I'd be worried.

Fulham is run by Mike Rigg, he is their Director of football and much of what goes on is through him and he is a football coach. It will come down to how much control Tony would want and if he could work with him?!

They may have decent finances, be in a rich area etc but Fulham are a small club. Throughout the 90s they averaged 4000...

Not going anywhere
No doubt he's already been sounded out and declined other openings before this one

Any London based club has potential simply because London is the preferred place foreign players want to be

I guess I'll have to spell it out.

TM was born in Saltburn, about 9 miles from Middlesbrough, it is his home town club for all intents & purposes and TM was at Ipswich as a player & manager for a long time, I would think he has considerable affection for the club.

It may not be true that Fulham are interested, though you can see why they might be. TM is not here out of any love for us, he's here to restart his career. Fulham offered Steve Clarke £25k and Mogga knows that. He wants to manage in a higher league and has taken the job here for virtually no money. If he doubts that Sisu would give him a competitive budget in the championship then he'd almost certainly take an offer like Fulham's.
