Great article by Henry Winter. Worrying last few paragraphs, I know you don't expect the man to stay forever, but he's clearly looking at us as a stepping stone!

We always have been a stepping stone for a succession of managers and players. As for Pressley. I love the man, I hope he finishes what he starts here before he inevitably goes on to bigger and better things. The best manager we've had in a generation.

There will be a day when I leave this club but that day is not imminent. I’ve asked a lot of young players to commit to the club recently and I want to be part of that. I am hugely ambitious but I want to take this club to a good place.’’

Whats worrying about the above? 2 years for a manager would be a lifetime in the world of CCFC.

I'm not deluded, I dunno I appreciate the sentiment, it just seems like he's waiting for the next opportunity. I don't even begrudge him that, it's just not a nice reality at the moment!

Ha, isn't there an interview with Pressley most weeks, nice that a national is taking some interest though, even if it is just because of Arsenal!

I get what you mean, but I don't think he will be another Robins IMO

There is one shining light in the fiasco that is CCFC as part of the SISU disorganisation. SP will grace the world of football for many decades to come. I consider us lucky to have such a person as our manager. It is just a shame that his tenure corresponds with the tenure of Sepalla and Fisher, otherwise great things may have happened.

I agree entirely with that. SP is a special Manager; just think what might have been with different owners!

It's a tad bizzare that he expresses that Callums injury has prevented him from being targeted this window, yet he's been disappointed at Clarke's effect on our season by asking to go.

Fully agreed. It's also a shame that most fans can't watch this special team, we have been craving for a team to get excited about, and when we do, we can only follow them every other week

It's not bizarre at all. He wants the best for his young players and is confident that he can bring others through to replace them should they decide to move on. Confident or what?

As I much as I love the bloke he was a 'cheap option' how many us thought that centre half that played for us 20 times in the nineties should replace Robins?

Know he had a contract at Falkirk but bet he was cheaper than a lot of English managers.

great interview.

lets hope he stays here for at least next 5 years, could really sort us out.

as for cheap option, i think waggot wanted someone to implement a a club wide style of play and ethos, they are blatantly trying to copy swanseas model and more power to them.
