My youngest went through school with him and is on the same course at college, he is very upset this weekend. I worked with his dad for a few years until he took redundancy a couple of years ago. His dad was knocked down himself a few years back on Ansty rd and was in hospital for weeks. Such a shame and a tragic waste.

So do they know what happened? I went passed there on my bike this morning and there was a lot of flowers by the fire station side of the road

I think he was on his way back from the skatepark at the Higgs, so he would have been crossing the Binley road from Allard way into Hipswell highway, he has then been in a collision with a car but that is as much as i know. I don't know if he was wearing a helmet or not and wouldn't want to speculate.

My mate pulled up in a taxi to visit the pub just after this had happened, he said it was a terrible scene, absolutely heartbreaking, a tragic loss of a young life. I can't begin to comprehend how his family and friends must feel, I wish them all the strength in the world.

The lad who died owned a boxing gym on Bodmin Road and had been training my mate.

Supposedly was a genuinely all round top guy and my mate is absolutely gutted.

Horrendous for both families to lose people in such tragic circumstances.

Yeah. Was told his name but didn't want to pur it on here while it still hasn't been made public.
Just passed what looked like a serious incident up by Hearsall common. No idea whats happened but loads of police and paramedics.
Didn't look like a crash though.

Hearsall common incident is a teenager on a bike been hit by car. Im hearing the paramedics still haven't moved him over an hour after it happened so that can't be good.
I'm also hearing someone has been killed after been hit by a car in Willenhall.

You do have to ask what is the link or is it a normal statistical anomoly. You’d like to think everyone would slow down and be more aware of those around them. We are such hypocrites as humans though aren’t we. We don’t want the police stopping us for going over the speed limit but that’s what causes these issues. We don’t want to be told to wear a helmet or jump red lights etc etc but that’s what causes these tragic tragic deaths. Road deaths used to be over 5000 a year and it’s much lower now but realty one death is one too many. A start is to refer to these situations as incidents not accidents as often things could have been done differently which would have meant the incident didibt happen and we all need to learn that saving 5 seconds on a journey is not worth risking someone else’s life for!!!
