Why no King or Hussey?

Emnes pace is going to cause O'Halloran lots of trouble!

I assume they're both injured. Neither are on the bench which suggests it's that rather than just rotation.

Surprised Platt has been chosen over Eastwood as well.

I'm not surprised. Eastwood has been attrocious when he's come on recently!

The rumour mill will be ticking over now!!

I am too surprised about Platt starting ahead of Eastwood, but I suppose if Eastwoods recent performaces are anything to go on, Platt probably deserves a go!

Although, if we're giving players a chance, why not poor old Roy O'Donovan!! He must be so fed up at not getting a look in!!

Too be honest I think Juke has been winning alot in the air recently and needs a player more like King/Eastwood to run off him. But Eastwoods lack lustred performances of late, have probably gifted Platt a start.

As for O'Donovan, if you speak to Sunderland fans, it is a blessing in disguise that this guy never plays... he is said to be very very second rate.

Don't fancy our chances today. Would have prefered Wood to play CD and Keogh to move RB with Clarke on the bench.

I'm not shocked about Platt starting ahead of Freddy. Has looked not only useless when he's come on lately, but lazy as hell. When we have King and Jutkiewicz running themselves into the ground and chasing down all the lost causes, it's annoying to see Freddy come on for a wander about in the sun. If we're gonna see either of our sub strikers later today i'd rather see O'Donovan than him. Might at least put in some effort.

Must be injuries to the King and Hussey. Emnes against O'Halloran is a worrying thought, although perhaps his recent break from the first team will have done him some good.

Before the match on Friday I too would have been surprised at Platt ahead of Eastwood, especially as I am a big Eastwood fan, however even I struggle to find any positives from his half an hour stint against Scunthorpe, his laziness was on another level.

Agreed about O'Donovan - especially as you have thought AT would have had something to do with bringing him into the squad with his previous scouting role.

Wonder when the rumours are going to come out about King leaving then?

Not sure how much O'Halloran would've been a Thorn pick, i think i read something about Aidy looking at him when he was at Watford too.

I dont believe AT would have scouted O'Donovan.

Look at the calibre of the players who Thorn has scouted - Gunner, Westwood, Jutkiewicz etc. Not on the same level as O;Donovan (one would assume as ive only seen him play propperly against Morecombe and that wasnt pretty), and is obviously not one that the club (whoever is in charge) want to give a chance too!

On a positive note as I am typing this, Jutkiewicz has just scored

And from good play from Platt!! What a decision by Thorn to play them 2

Roy was deffo an Aidy signing, he saw him ripping up League 1 1st hand. I think Roy scored more in his loan spell last year than Morrison has got all season at Sheff Wed..deserves a chance ahead of Freddy after the Good Friday showing.

What difference would king leaving have on him playing today? None? Chances are he is leaving but he's been playing every week! He must be injured.

I'm not against him Nick, but he does have more poor games than good! one thing he's good at is tracking back when he plays on the wing. He us always happy to help out the left back!

Somebody needs to explain to our team that you're meant to carry on playing to the half-time and full-time whistles. I would go as far as saying we have let in the most injury time or late goals (in each half) in the whole of the football league.

Team selection was a bit weird today. Would like to have seen Deegan on the pitch, especially as our midfield minus SC put in a poor performance on Friday.
Can't believe we lost it so late on, we need to learn to play until the final whistle as this has been a massive problem all season.

Hopefully Thorn will sort our lack of concentration out. I thought we'd turned a corner when it comes to playing until the whistle goes!!
