The rules for the Olympic football tournament:
Its an under-23s event, but each country will be allowed to select three older players, so who would be in your team?

(GK) Joe Hart*
(DR) Kyle Walker, (DC) Phil Jones, (DC) Chris Smalling, (DL) Kieran Gibbs
(MR) Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain, (MC) Aaron Ramsey, (MC) Jack Wilshere, (ML) Gareth Bale
(ST)Danny Welbeck, (ST)Daniel Sturridge

That would probably be mine.

Not abad pick ,i'd go with that but i reckon one or two will have been utilsed in poland and will want some time out before the new season starts ,so reckon there may be more home nation players in there.

I thought there was supposed to be a rule in place that if they travel to Euro 2012 they can't be in the team GB squad. That would be Joe Hart certainly out and possibly Sturridge, Jones and Wilshere too.

I would think that Hart, Walker, Jones, Wilshere will all go to the Euro's. Smalling, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck & Sturridge in with a shout too.

Is Jordan Rhodes worth a shout?

The official line does not mention a Euro vs. Olympic debate so think it is a self imposed one?
but that being the case how about:

GK) Wayne Hennessey*
DR) Phil Bardsley DC) Martin Kelly, DC) Jonny Evans, DL)Kieran Gibbs
ML) Gareth Bale, MC) Barry Bannan, MC) Aaron Ramsey, MR) David Beckham*
ST) Jordan Rhodes, ST)Gabby Agbonlahor

A few contentious shouts I know!

I'd definitely take Beckham.

He is a figurehead of British football and one of the most recognisable people on the planet and, in my opinion, is a great ambassador for our game.

Plus he can still play a bit too.

James Forrest at Celtic is a very, very bright talent and should make this squad, if none of the other Scots do-exciting player.
