No change. That team should have thumped them today. For what ever reason and combination of factors we looked lacklustre and indecisive.
Doubt this team would do that two in a row and every man will want to prove himself on Tuesday more than other wise they would have.
We looked like we were not match ready after a long lay off. We caught a cold and must once again learn from that.
I would not be surprised if we won on Tuesday night. TM thank goodness is at the helm.
I would though throw out a sense of caution....we and that created a change in mentality when we were doing so well.
Maddison for his part was awful today as was Murphy. We didn't gel for the most part and just got worse as the game went on.
I think they may have thought it won before we kicked a ball. TM will knock that sense out of them.

If Martin is fit he should definitely start. Cole won't manage to play Tuesday and Saturday so he will likely drop out, so there will be at least 1 enforced change on Tuesday. I'd go

RCC

Ricketts
Stephens
Martin
Stokes

Vincelot
Fleck

Armstrong
Maddison
Murphy

Henderson

I just wish he would give Ricketts a rest. He's gone from a reliable steady Eddie to an error prone, slow as a tortoise weak Iink.

I agree, I liked the look of Lorentzson but he has fitness issues. It's twice he's been injured in the short time he's been here.

Ricketts needs dropping for sure, so poor in the tackle and too slow and predictable in his passing now. Not even sure a rest will do. So off the pace, and offers nothing as captain

I really think TM has got to be brave and rest Ricketts. He's just not the same player he was at the start of the season and has become a bit of a liability.

Tricky think this is what I would go with.

RCC
Ricketts RB
Stokes LB
Martin CB
Stevens CB
Fleck DCM
Vincelot DCM
Armstrong ACM
Maddison ACM
Rose ACM
Tudguy ST

Subs: Addai, Lorentzon, Cargill, Murphy, Cole, Lameiras, Henderson.

The trouble is we dont have any players that really stand out to be match winners , they are all pretty average .

Murphy is a match winner. Just not nearly often enough.

Madison can be too and obviously Armstrong. We do have them. They just don't do it enough.

I agree about Ricketts. After the game he said we need to 'forget' about the game, not too sure that's the right idea. If we played well and lost then maybe so but not if you were outplayed and deserved to lose to a relegation threatened side.

To be fair Mowbray said the same. When he says "forget" i think he means "don't dwell"

I was really expecting a 'that was simply not good enough' but we didn't get it.

Maybe that's what he said to the players privately.

Both Bradford & Southend play the bottom two teams at home on Tuesday. I reckon they'll both win their games easily. We are away to Barnsley who seem to have found a bit of form lately, losing just once in their last 10. If we're not careful, I think we'll drop down to 8th come late Tuesday night. This is one game that really is a MUST win!

I'd definitely put Rose in for Fleck but ultimately formations and personnel are irrelevant if we don't start playing with a bit more determination and desire.

The body language yesterday and against Scunthorpe was appalling.

It appears that if things don't go our way early in the game the players become uninterested/disheartened.

We're away from home at Barnsley and won't play Henderson. We need mobility as we're likely to play on the counter. Murphy will play.

Unless of course he is indeed injured.

Probably right on both as Murphy is undropable no matter how bad he plays and Henderson hasn't played much.

However as well as needing pace and mobility on the counter a player who can hold up the ball, take the pressure off the defence, bring the faster players into the game and give teammates a target to pass to can also be valuable away from home.

That will be Mowbrays cover up if he is dropped regardless probably.

Play the same team bar Cole as probably can't manage 2 games in 4 weeks. Let them make up for it and see if they care. Pusb

Many many.
Their desire to make the block were typical of the desire they showed.

I lost count of the amount of blocked shots in the first half alone from Murphy on his left foot trying to recreate his goal he scored at Crewe.

Tudgay came on and scored so he definitely wont play. Murphy was crap so he will play. Fortune will be on the bench again. It's Mowbray logic.

It's called defending. We need to learn how to do it.

Well I know that! Just saying in response to someone quoting that we had 19 shots, that we had a number blocked.
