Personally I would like to see Ricketts dropped and Lorentzson brought back in. Really can't see us dropping our captain though.

We simply cannot afford to lose this match.

Hunt in? Henderson? Think we need a different approach and we need to support Armstrong more.

Think it seems odds on that Murphy will be dropped. Maybe Rose in his place? Lameiras was woeful when he came on, so not him on a cold, windy night in Barnsley.

This is a match for grit and determination.

I would go for-(and this will not in a million years happen)

RCC

Lorentzson Cargill Stephens Stokes

Rose fleck Vincelot Hunt

Tudgay
Armstrong

Purely to shore it up & freshen it up against an inform side.

Maybe Lameires starting over Rose

Bench
Addai
Ricketts
Ramage
Lameires
Murphy
Maddison
Henderson

I'd choose for us to win rather than lose

I'd like to see Tudgay started up front with Armstrong.

Wouldn't say that. A draw followed by a win against Rochdale I would say would be fine.

As Bobby Gould said in the casino after the game it's not about how many sideways passes you make or yards you run , it's about scoring goals and if we put crosses into the box from the wings , that increases the chances. We did not do this again today.
no passion
no skill
no leader
no balls
no points
I am frikin angry that Pressley and his boys wanted it more than Mobray and his Hollywood boys did.
i am afraid we have blown it and unless they beef up and play as a team the play offs will be another pipe dream

Can't see TM playing two up front away from home.

Unless you mean in the hole just behind.

Just had a thought really: although I have just said on another thread that I would go 4-3-3, just been going over some information on Southampton who changed to a 5-3-2 to get their form back:

Rcc
-------Martin--Cargill---Stephens-----
Lorentzson--------------------------Hunt/stokes
---------Rose------Vincelot
---------------Fleck
-------Tudgay----Armstrong

One thing we do have is options. I rate stokes massively, but don't want it to be a 5 man back line as such.

On other thread I said

Rcc
Lorentzson- Cargill- Stephens-Stokes
-----Rose---Vincelot---Fleck
--Armstrong--Tudgay--Murphy

Think you make a good point about murphy not playing though. Doubt Cole will be available either

No the whole comment sideways passes and run, for me Fleck hides in games and mainly does only the simple thing he needs to move higher into the midfield with the ball and slide it through for Armstrong?

For me he fades from games. More often than not he starts well, but by about the 70th minute you wonder if he's still on the field and playing.

I'd drop the f**king lot of 'em and play the Academy kids. They can't do any worse.

He gets too deep and hides with the centre backs at home I don't think he can play with Vincelot you need the more energetic Rose.

You want to do that so that after we have lost 4-0 you can call for the manager's head for such a daft decision?

Not sure Cole will manage another game so soon.

Mind, he didn't play today did he, so maybe it is possible.

To change the team Mowbray needs to change tactics too. Henderson needs to be centre forward with Armstrong playing off him so they need supply, Hunt, Murphy or Lamieras, then four from Cole, Rose, Fleck, Vincelot as for defence if fit one has to be Martin and Lorenzen at right back and kept there Stokes at left back and for me Stephens

I think it might well be time for two up front. Can't see TM playing two up front away from home though.

To be fair, Ford (1st choice CB) got injured after 15 mins and an U16 had to replace him. Darragh Leahy, Corey Addai and Bassala Sambou were also unavailable due to U21\first team involvement. A trialist was also in goal who was also 16 I think. Still no excuse though to lose a game 7-0 to a team 2 places above you though.

Drop the lot of them, make 'em pick the litter at The Memorial Park for a week and play the U12s. That'll learn 'em

I do wish TM would drop Ricketts.. If he wasn't captain I think he would consider it, but just can't see it happening.

Lorentzson is a much more attacking footballer who likes to support the forward line and I think that would give us a different dimension. Ricketts offers very little going forwards and is too slow at the back.

I'm not sure Tudgay is the answer that people seem to think he is.

Not sure what team I would go really
---------RCC
Ricketts--Martin--Cargill--Stokes
-------------Vincelot
---------Rose------Fleck
-----Armstrong-------Maddison
-------------Henderson

No idea if that would work or not but just throwing an idea out there, strengthen the midfield with Rose's legs and energy and get Henderson holding the ball up and Armstrong and Maddison running off him and bringing them into play.
