I'm not a huge JPT fan but I do accept many fans would see Wembley as a huge positive.

We have 3 games in a week. Carlisle is now a huge game for us.

The Tottenham game is surely one to rest as many players as possible and make sure they are all fit and ready for the more relevant matches?

The league IS more important and ill be happy whatever the score, it'll be a great day out. But would be fab to walk away with a draw and bring them here, would perhaps motivate more fans if we could at least draw against a side like them

I reckon as he was suspended today there is a chance that Gareth Bale might play for Spurs. He will tear Christie a new arsehole!

I agree Christie has had a couple of bad games but he is still very young, he does havew the speed and I think he will have a decent game against Spurs.
Anyway its another day out and no wxpecatations, let the lads enjy the day.

Yep, play Cody, Hussey, ROD, Malaga and Bell if fit. We are expected to lose anyway and it puts these players in the shop window.

Fitness not an issue confidence maybe if they get beat 6-0. Conversely if they play well and lose by 2 or less goals it will be a confidence builder. Robins will play his best team

My God they are proffesional football players and are paid accordingly! We are not Manure or Chelski and have a infinite squad! we must take all games on the chin and forget the old adage the players are tired they have played twice in a week, we always play twice in a week and beside that the game has been moved to a Sunday in Carlisle anyway

Would be an insult to everyone travelling to Tottenham to support the team to rest players, imho

I cannot believe any Coventry fans seriously wants the team to rest players in this match. Absolute madness.

Plus i have seen them play in the premiership before, when we were so called equals!
This fantasy game holds no relevance for me, its all about achieving at your own level. Something we haven't done in a long time!

Wanting Coventry to not try their hardest in this game is just the most dour unromantic angle ever. Even if Spurs played their strongest team we might win, there are no certainties in football, upsets happen, everyone knows that. What is the point of existing as a foiotball club if you're not going to try your hardest to win every competition?

How come? Does he have to play a certain number of games for us first? He only featured in league games for Scunthorpe this season.

I'd put out the strongest team possible. Every player in the squad will want to play in this game, I'd see it as a reward for those players who've played well this season.

if anyone has a bit of a knock or niggle, dont risk them. if they are fit, play them. great opportunity to play against a top level team, top four in the country, test themselves out and get ready for Thursday.

game holds no pressure for them - realistically none of us going on Saturday expect anything from the game, so its not like bodies will be on the line. just play against some quality, get themselves ready for Thursday when we smash PNE (on penalties)

prediction...........3-1 Spurs. would just love a goal to cheer.

#thfc Freund says Benoit Assou-Ekotto is available to face Coventry on Saturday. Parker could also start - AVB is yet to decide.
