The Sky Blues squad for this Sunday’s charity match at the Ricoh Arena has been named – with a combined age of 764!
The match is being held at the same time Coventry City line up for their first “home” league match of the season at Sixfields and thousands of supporters are expected to snub the 70-mile round trip to Northampton in favour of the charity fixture.
The legends line up now includes Bobby Gould, Marcus Hall, Steve Froggatt, Dietmar Bruck, Terry Fleming, Ian Goodwin, Peter Hormantschuk and Claus Bech Jørgensen.
Previously announced players are Darren Huckerby, Noel Whelan, Paul Hall, Dave Bennett, Dean Emerson and Terry Gibson.
Celebrities Andy Hopkins and Liam Watts from Coventry band The Enemy and Coronation Street star and Sky Blues fan Graeme Hawley will also feature in the match.
That gives the Coventry team a combined age of 764 – with Bruck the oldest at 69 and The Enemy boys the youngest at 27, bringing down the average age to 45.

I know they are not the stars but the Coventry City Supporters FC have 4 players included on the day

Last season CCSFC came 3rd in the National League for supporters team. They also had the top scorer with a new record for the league. Last week they beat Crawley 3:2

They play their home games in Coventry and refused to change that. Away games can mean getting up at 4, 5 or 6 am in the morning to travel for a game in the morning then watch the CCFC game in the afternoon

The lads paid their own way last season, paying for kits, travel all over the country, pitches, refs etc. Thats not just a couple of quid. This season they have picked up some sponsorship including from the Sky Blue Trust. There have been promises from CCFC but nothing received so far.

These lads represent our City and team all over the country - do it with a lot of pride but above all because they enjoy it and support CCFC

Give the 4 lads a great welcome Sunday too please
