I'm not sure it sends the right message though (playing Mcgoldrick). Fitness will no doubt play a part, sentiment aside Elliott should stay in the team!

We said the same about Barton after beating Donny 4-1, then in hindsight posters said we should have played Baker.

True, but Robins has the get out of jail card that Elliott on his way back from injury so might not want to risk him in two games in quick succession.

To be honest you have to play your best and on form players - McGoldrick has been brilliant for us and deserves to start. Prior today Elliott had scored 1 in 13 games this season.

In man management terms he should play Elliot......unless MGoaldick says he's staying.

Same team I guess.

Players must know they can't get dilly suspension s be they captain or top scorer

Still think MCG is better than Elliott mind

Elliot hasn't been injured for 2 months he's just been out of favour. Elliot is on form by any definition surely? Prior to signing for cov(on loan) goldie didn't have a great goal scoring record. Don't get me wrong I love goldie but it kind of sends the wrong message I'd you drop someone after scoring 2 goals and winning us the match

DMc's 15 goals in his last 16 matches for me trumps 2 in 1 match, prior today elliot only scored 1 in 13 games.

Don't be stupid. It's odds on that mcgoldrick will score on his farewell game. He's the best forward on this league Elliot isn't even the best forward in this squad.

As I just said in the other thread why not both? Lets change the formation and go for it at home.

I would like to see us go two up top at home, I just worry a 442 would be too rigid and restrict the midfield.

Yes don't fancy Moussa in CM or stuck out on a wing tbh, he has to be given a free role

It has to be DMC. Has to be.

Last ever game for us more than likely and you would have to bet on him scoring. Elliot's goal record hasn't been great, Goldie is shit hot.

I know Elliot got two but you have to put out your best team.

What's to say MR might not play them both anyway?

I'm sure DMC will be back. Think Bailey though may have to wait.

It is tough one but think you have to keep the same formation that has served us so well.....McGoldrick would say has to start.........maybe Elliot in for McSheffrey? If not though Elliot may be disappointed he will be in next game if Goldie goes.

Nice to struggle to pick out best eleven due to depth/performances tbh.....PUSB! imp:

Dmc for sure. Best striker in the league. Would Elliott have the legs to last two games in 3 days in any case?

Wassup with you all?

The Shrews will be shitting themselves. Not even Spurs will be looking forward to playing us. Play them both. If Clarke was able to play I would say play all 3

The next 2 days they do no training so he will have the energy to play. And when he played games consistently for us 2 games a week never effected him he used to run at full speed after defenders the entire game.

Elliot has had one good game. So now he should be in the starting line up? Lets see what happens - the man who knows best will make the correct decision.

One good game out of one under robins what else could you ask for? And also although yes goldie is on fire but like baker nobody should have a divine right to start if someone else has done well. I think mr will play goldie but I just think that Elliot has merited himself.

4-3-1-2 formation, DMG for sure, with Clarke if he's signed in time. If this is the case, Clarke off 60-70th minute for Elliot. Moussa just behind the two in a free role, with the usual midfield and defense. If Clarke isn't signed, Elliot to start, and off for ROD in the 70th minute ish.
