i think its time to give young christie a little break, especially with two away games on the horizon

id shift keough to RB,cameron and wood in the middle, hussey on left,in midfield id have clingan, thomas, deegan and mchseff/bakeron tip with juke cody upfront

we really need our AM to step up and start scoring or assisting, its pivitol to the diamond formation

GK:murphy(seems to be in good form i might add)
RB:keogh
CB:cameron
CB:wood
LB:hussey
DM:clingan
CM:thomas
CM:deegan
AM:mcsheffrey
CF:juke
CF:macdonald

dunn
platt
bell
baker
christie

thoughts? am i changing too much? or not enough?

I think that is fair enough, not sure how Cameron and Wood would be as a partnership though.

seems like a fair shout to me ...... but I reckon he will play Bell instead of Thomas. It will be a choice between whether he plays Cameron or Christie and shuffle accordingly. Think where ever possible AT will go for the most experienced team he can get on the pitch and I am not sure that is the best way to go.

I have reservations about our AM .... it is pivotal to success ..... Bell isnt the answer there nor is Baker, McSheffery seems to have a good game then 4 bad ones.... not sure we have the right player there

Any news on Crainie ?

Cranie was out for a month when he was first injured so I would imagine he still has a few weeks left.
I think Mcsheffrey is our best best for AM imo. Also imo I think experience is the way to go, at least for saturday anyway.

Not a bad team on paper, should be capable of beating donny. Need sheff to come into some form now. PUSB

Cheers CCFC. The reservation I have isnt about the going with the experienced players as such , its more that in general this season the senior/experienced players we do have have been a disappointment. Too often they have not stepped up to the plate and have gone missing. Hope they all decide to turn up this weekend. Donny will be no push overs and we dont have a great record there.

-----------------------Murphy----------------------
Keogh-----Cameron----------Wood-------Hussey
----------------------Clingan-----------------------
--------------Bell------------Deegan--------------
-------------------McSheffrey---------------------
-----------------------------------------------------
--------------McDonald------Juke-----------------

Weak points in that line up are Cameron, Hussey and Bell.

This would be much better, if it where possible:
McPake in for Cameron
Cranie in for Hussey (and put wood at left back)
A decent loanee in for Bell (pigs might fly!)

I'd go with this. I think its time to take some of the so called 'kids' out of it for a while. We badly need some experienced heads in there to get us moving up the table.

We dont know what sort of form McPake is in he hasnt played first team recently every one assumes he will step back in and be stronger than what we have big assumption. Hussey I thought had a decent game against Burnley but I thought Bell was anonymous in that game. Wood is a far better CB than left back he can defend but the formation relies on fullbacks getting forward and that is not one of his strengths. Crainie is still out for some time. Deagan is carrying a groin injury so dont know if he is fit. To be honest I see McSheffery as a weak point too - he has one good game then 4 bad ones ... is too inconsistent

Its hard given our squad right now to put a team together for Donny that you would be entirely confident in

They said on C and W he is back in training but wasn't deemed fit enough to make the bench vs Burnley.

How strange the game is,i would say Hussey is a cert for LB on last 3 app,Wood to stay as CB,suddenly we seem short at CB and reluctant to switch RK to RB ,IMO Cameron has shown to be a capable performer,Christie definately needs a rest to recharge ,not for form, now i said the game is strange but i would bring FReddie into the equation and we should look to introduce a couple more youth team members to the bench while Christie /Bigi rest.

I, too think that Freddie could do a job - at the tip of the diamond - if he can be bothered. But over and above deciding who will play where, ATs first question each day must be "who's fit?"

Question ...... (when available) would Bigi be worth a try at the tip of the diamond? Sure i read on another thread he had a good shot on him,..... certainly he can pass and retain a ball, is reasonably quick, plenty of energy & confidence. Has always been more defensive in our team I know but has he got the ability to play a different way? I havent been impressed by anyone who has played the position so far this season

I think so, many others think so, Bigi in fact thinks so if you read his interviews. But there are several who would have you shot for suggesting that he is anything but a defensive midfielder. Go figure.
