Very astute move. Good for him and also if he starts banging in the goals near enough for someone to watch him

Good for him. Hopefully smashes it and earns a permanent contract. If not wrong does this open a spot for a loan of our own?

Good luck to him. The kind of move he needed about 2 years ago in all honesty, but here we are. Hope he's a success.

Finally! Will do him a world of good. Have to say I will be amazed if we ever see him in a Coventry shirt again.

He really hasn't. It hasn't helped he's suffered long injuries over the last couple of years.

He's a CF and I felt sorry for him being shoved out on the wing last season. Still, he did OK there (Soton away, and Man U)

Last time I saw him play was at Bristol City earlier in the season and I have to say he was pretty poor. Getting shoved off the ball easily. Not his best game. He was ace at Southampton and Wembley.

A mid-season loan to a team fighting relegation from L1 doesn't strike me as a great move, but at least we will finally find out how he responds to an extended run in the first team.

Contract is up at the end of the season, 24, he needed to go and play men's football, not just sit on the bench. I know they are bottom of the league but he could have done a lot worse.

Even if he does he will be out of contract anyway and no chance we offer him a new one

Good luck to him. Think he needs to move on from us now and hopefully this is the first step.

Needs to be playing 1st team football

It’s basically a permanent departure.

Crazy how little he actually played for us given his age and tenure here.

Yeah, but if he scores 20 goals in the next 15 matches then they may want to have a look at him. Anyway, apparently Burton have about 10 forwards at the moment.

He could score 30 goals and we still wont. Lampard has been here for 12 games and given him 0 minutes. Even Rodrigues has got on

TBF, if he got 30 goals in league 1 then we'd probably offer him a contract.

Good luck to him, he was actually fantastic in his cameo at Wembley last season and that goal against PNE was good as well

He will cause problems in that league and will probs stay there permanently if he impresses

Surely if we are letting a wide option go all signs point towards Paterson getting a deal till the end of the season

Doubt it even then. 2 managers in a row have decided he isnt good enough

So your opinion on this is he'd never be offered a new contract? Even if he scored 150 goals over the next 3 months?

If he went and did really well he would probably get a year so we could get some sort of fee for him
