Think it would do his career some good if he could go and play week in, week out in League 1.

Are they waiting on outgoings?

I would say it looks a good move for him but aren't Reading still owned by a complete shyster? Hopefully if he does get the chance to earn his wages on the pitch he can at least collect them.

I still think Tavares could come good but with the players in front of him unlikely to do so here now. Much improved options so probably time to move on.

Not happening

Reading fans have confirmed they’re under a transfer embargo until their ownership issues are sorted

Can sign loans and it’s not inconceivable that we would terminate his contract so he can leave on a free. He will leave for free in the summer anyway.

They are under a similar embargo to us when we were at sixfields. Can make singings but with wage restrictions etc. so a loan is very possible.

He could also stay and earn his Coventry wage until next summer. If I were him, I wouldn't drop to a lower wage at a different club.

Wouldn’t you? He’s what, 24? Played hardly any games. For the sake of his career, he’d be ill advised to stay and not play for another year.

With the new signings he will not have much opportunity to "earn" his wages so then he'll have another "nothing" season. He needs to move on and take any chance he can get. He deserves that chance

If you can't even make the bench for the league cup, you know your days are numbered and any appearances are going to be very rare.
