He never really was given a chance with us, sat on the bench when he should have been on loan. I hope this can kick start his career as he always seemed a nice guy in the videos and that picture of him looking at Lampard will always make me smile.

Best of luck Fabio. A bit hard done by here since recovery from injury.

Good luck to him. He was desperately unlucky with injuries, but lacked the physicality to succeed at our level.

He's got some qualities, including composure in front of goal, which is gold. Hopefully will find his level and have a decent career.

Suspect they agreed to pay his wages with immediate effect which would be net positive to the club.

Good luck to him.

With a strike partner allowing him chances in the box he could score a number of goals at that level - he's a good finisher.

Good luck to him. Seemed a good character. I know many say he wasn't up to the standard but personally I don't think he was given much of a chance due to selection, injuries and formation. I think if he played through the middle alongside another striker, he would have been useful.

Seems a good lad. Maybe a bit unlucky with us in terms of injuries and chances. I wonder if being a first team regular will bring out the best in him and we'll see him back in the division in a season or two. Either way, wish him every success.

Best of luck to him.

I know he's not really at the level to impact our team, but it's nice to see him valued somewhere and a loan that has worked out.

Hope he does really well at Burton.

He wasn't given much of a chance because he wasn't good enough

Happy for him and best for him and us that he’s found a new home.

Best for all. Good luck to him.

He wasn’t given more of a chance, because he wasn’t good enough. That’s the reality.

he may well blossom with having regular league 1 football, but that feels like his ceiling.

Hope there's a sell on clause for when he finishes top scorer next season and goes to Saudi

I wonder what he would have done if presented with Wright’s last minute chance in the second leg vs Sunderland. Given he is such an excellent finisher.

Happy for him to leave and finally develop his career, was never what we needed and hopefully now he gets the minutes his career has needed for a good few years. Never felt he was an option we would cry out for off the bench, he just wasn’t at the level. Albeit he had a good cameo against Utd but I don’t recall many good memories with him.
All the best and move on

Fair play and good luck to him!
He'll be a good asset for Burton and can probably help use them as springboard to ge tbacj to the Championship. Still remember how class he was in our FA Cup semi-final and his collective assist to Simms goal.

Maybe so, but he showed in cameos that he had some quality. The Preston goal was not something your average Joe Bloggs can pull off. His performance v Man Utd was great. Some players need an opportunity in the first team to truly show what they can do. My argument is just that he never had a run of games to prove either way.

He wasn't good enough, I agree with that, but I'm not sure a comment this bone-headed can be laughed at enough.
