Let’s see if I can get this thread back to football and Tats in particular.

Raphael is the cover for him but as you know he is out injured as well. A lot of teams will struggle if they lose both their first and second choices in a particular position.

I reckon Bassette or BTA could play there in an emergency. Probably MVE as well but I prefer to keep him where he is.

I think it’s more we have to keep him where he is, as we don’t have another RWB as cover

Sakamoto one trick pony. He’s got the false cross/chop. Other than that there’s no speed or skinning a defender.

His crossing ability, weight of passing, first touch and close control are not too shabby!

He is still struggling from last year's injury, without a doubt, mentally, more than physically. Should start EMC left, Simms and Wright up front and Asante on the right. Stop worrying about conceding goals,go and score more than the opposition.

We could put Lati or Eccles at RB but, as I said, I prefer MVE there rather than moving him to RW.

The referee told the physios to come over and treat Sakamoto, Lati seemed to think he was actually fine and didn't need treatment so tried to stop the physios coming on.

Had a good view of it. Saka was definitely concerned about his injury, and the ref called the physios on after a short dialogue with him. When they arrived, the ref signalled them onto the pitch and Saka still seemed willing for them to assess him. But Lati clearly wanted him to stay on the pitch rather than have to sit it out while we took the free kick (corner?), and physically pushed the physio(s) to try and stop them coming on. A deserved booking IMO, and bearing in mind that it turns out Saka has a genuine injury, it was stupid to try and intervene like that and overrule the ref.

That isn’t how we roll. If anything, we should zonally mark the goalline instead of the 6 yard box-an impenetrable wall for corners.
