Does make you wonder how it would be if it was say Prince Abdul from Iran wanting to meet her?

Good to hear him say he doesn't care who we play. I feel the same. It's my team and I will support them regardless of which league we happen to be in.

Yes, he did admit to he's not seen in a good light by some, something like that, though you're right he was very quick to say he's not digging at SISU....he also said something like no animosity, lets put the past behind us etc.

If he's come across as professional and taken no snipes while also confirming he's still giving it his best shot it's as good as it could have gone short of confirming a bid has been accepted. Fingers crossed.

I'm softening towards him the more I hear him talk but I'm sceptical why this is now being played out in public. Desperation? Trying to turn the screw on Joy? Trying to attract further investors?

who can blame him if it is desperation? sisu as murphy said are stubborn and do not want to sell and do not want to make us successful either.

Pressure. Hopefully to drag SISU from the shadows*.

(*Shadows sounds more dark for them than plush London offices)

To be rid of SISU and to stop the incessant bitching and arguing on the site would be a wonderful thing!

don't get your hopes up that sisu going will stop the bitching and arguing.

Unlikely Nick.....

Iran is a theocracy embedded in an Islamic Republic. Any semblance of monarchy flew the roost in 1979's popular uprising.....

That is very precise!

I just meant if somebody other than Hoffman rocked up with a screenshot of a big bank account, would she meet with them?

I'm a little unclear, are they or aren't they in the market for an ailing football club?

I like Hoffman but why go on Talksport and discuss ongoing negotiations which will only wind SISU up.

No but a fascinating insight into their mindset and drawing parallels with the West and also Napoleon's activities in Egypt

As much as I love it from a fans perspective, it isn't really the usual way to conduct deals. Deals are normally highly confidential which just leads to the point that these discussions are still one way. I pray he can get a deal worth considering but I just cannot see any of these deals being attractive to them.

I was invited to the Wednesday v Huddersfield match last night and was told by a SWFC Director that he had heard a deal was close to completion by Mr Hoffman and friends.
SISU want out he said but will play hard ball to the end and squeeze out every penny. But Mr Hoffman is the only bid in town and they all know that. Interesting times.

I'm a mad Coventry City fan but I've never spoken to any of the directors. If you read the post it suggests that the SWFC director got their info from Hoffman.

Like others, I thought Hoffman came across quite well. I don't think I've ever heard him speak before, I like the lack of that university / corporate accent, he sounds very Cov. I'm in.
