That would depend on your perspective.....but that's an entirely separate debate. Does anyone know for sure what authority the EC will have when the democratic wishes of the people stop being subverted by the elitist politicians and we finally leave the EU? Might (selfishly) make me change my mind on wanting to respect the democratic process.

This agreement introduced conditions that would unreasonably restrict the Club and SISU’s basic legal rights and would commit the Club and SISU to underwrite Wasps’ costs and any future damages. This would put the football club at great risk and jeopardise its future and in so doing, undermine the hard-work and success the Club has achieved over the past few seasons.

How can this be so when Mr Fisher and Mr Boddy have repeatedly said the football club are not Sisu.

exactly. Been told all along its SISU in the court battle. Surely Wasps condition wasn't that it was CCFC that indemnified them, it was the owners ?, unless the rental agreement was with the club and not the owners ?

Correct me if I'm wrong and I'm sure you will .

Sisu, NOT the football club have taken the complaint to the EC over the sale of the Ricoh from the Council to Wasps, asking them to make a judgement on whether it's state aid or not.

But the request for the European Commission investigation was made by the owners of our club.
It was not as far as we are aware made by the football club.

Coventry City Football Club wish to continue to play its home games at the Ricoh.

According to Boddy and Fisher the football club are separate from the owners.

I think the CCFC Statement referred to terms that Wasps wanted SISU and CCFC to sign up to

“Wasps wanted SISU to sign up to and also sign the football club to sign up to simply was not possible by terms that were being presented.

What's your point? They also wanted the club to guarantee it.

The rental agreement is with wasps holdings and the football club so the clause will be against the club originally one would assume.

My view is that only the company directly connected to CCFC and registered with companies house, at the time of the sale to Wasps by the council, would be in a position to raise the complaint to the EU.

What happens when we leave the EU and this case isn’t finished? Will they have to abide by the ruling of European court or not? Or does that depend on whatever deal/no deal is announced ?

It’s the equivalent to grassing up the council, what would you suggest the remedies are? Why should we and even sisu cover the damages?

That’s the exact statement, besides you are right there is nothing stopping them letting us play there other than us signing up to terms that are unreasonable

Not really, it's purely now a matter of the EC checking to see if the UK state has applied State Aid regulations properly. It doesn't matter that much about the company complaining for the purpose of the EC investigation

Some one posted on Facebook saying it's expected CCC/Wasps will lose this case, so they're looking at an out of court settlement.

Again, purely forwarding what has been posted, no idea on how true it is.

A settlement with who though? The EU? Sisu aren't taking this action it's an investigation. Sounds like a load of bullshit.

I don't know. Probably is bullshit, but just odd to see an anti - CCC/Wasps post on Facebook group.

If the complaint is upheld them I think it gets referred back to the courts of the member state involved.
I dont think there is a mechanism for an out of court settlement at least not at this stage

The two hedge funds are at war with each other and they have ever right to protect their assets,
And no the football club should not cover the damages.

The football club and the fans are just piggy in the middle .
