Adrenaline takes over, I can't blame someone in the heat of the moment for going a bit mad. It shouldn't be a yellow card unless they're timewasting.

I play golf if I get a birdie or Par I don't tear my shirt off. I might jump and even let out a mid volume whoop, but the thought never enters my head to rip off my shirt and run around the course.

You've just put your club straight into the next round closer than what we already were to wembley and looked like going out, won it, would you keep your shirt on???

The joy of scoring takes over. I dont see why players are being booked for taking their shirt off. As long as they dont throw it into the crowd or lose it then theres no harm done. Its just stupid. Why shouldnt a player be allowed to celebrate his goal?

You haven't lived. One time I nailed a 7-10 split, and long story short; I'm not allowed in any Megabowl ever again.

I'd take my shirt off and run around the course for managing to hit the ball.

It is a silly rule, that's often loosely interpreted

I think it falls into the category of unsportsmanlike behaviour, along with diving and foul language yet it is deemed the most reprehensible in that 100% of the time players are booked - so it would be best to keep it on.

Time wasting is also unsportsmanlike, just a side note for Steve Simonsen there...

Rich, as a keen golfer myself I feel experiencede enough to say that is one of the worst comparables ever.

In golf that much excitement normally leads to a tip of the hat, or pulling up your plus fours, but come on, in a semi final, last minute winner, team mates and 12k fans ecstatic, you lose yourself in the moment and adrenaline takes over.

The other thing is, if I got a hole in one, and took my top off, my physique wouldnt quite compare to Leons, and my wobbly belly would probably lead to a few people being ill and a bar from the course!

Stupid rule but ive always thought it to be an odd way to express your emotions. Surely the attempted (and failed) knee slide is the way forward?

You have to ask the question as to why an earth this is a yellow card offence in the first place!!!! I am sure the ladies like it. Celebrations of goals are a bit of fun which are ruined by the fukwits that control the game.

A couple of points......

1. Nobody wants to see you without your top on
2. I have a hole in one to my name and looking back should have removed my shirt and swung it around my head!

yeah this is good too, and only trumped by the knee slide if it fails, preferably with a face plant in the grass

Point 1. I agree
Point 2. But you didn't and that's the point. You didn't get so carried away that you removed your top.

I'm not just talking about last nights game guys, I'm talking in general. You see players removing their tops in the premier league every week.

Same here, just trying to reason with it and see the argument from both sides.

I am lead to believe its about sponsorship. At the moment when the cameras focuses on the goalscorer, and there for the team sponsor, in a moment associated with success......he whips his shirt off and they lose valuable TV time and assocaition with the good times. I think as with everything in modern day football its about the money.

More importantly why is it a compulsory yellow card. Crazy if you ask me.

I found it slightly harsh when Dzeko scored for Man City to then remove his top with a message of 'Happy New Year' to the fans.

But rules are rules.

Because a few years ago, Diego Forlan took his shirt off and threew it into the crowd and couldnt get it back, he they had to wait for ages for the kit man to get another shirt from the dressing room and that delayed the game. I'm pretty sure thats why they inforced that rule but i could be wrong

Answer ..... ensure spare kits are kept on the bench.
