But the proposed move to the new ground now known as the Ricoh was very popular at the time and objectors like me then on gmk were slagged off by the "experts" on there, sad to say virtually all my reservations have come true.
It's easy to forget that Highfield Rd held about 22000, and some of that was restricted view, we were in the Premiership when the decision was made to move, and Highfield Rd was not up to the standards of many Premiership grounds.Unfortunately there were others that had contributed to this matter at hand! Spending beyond our means for years then THAT decision to move us to the Ricoh which dropped the nail in the coffin....
I have no issue with the ground itself albeit the fact that we rarely filled HR so wasn't a major requirement.
