I want to know if he’s got any court dates that clash with upcoming fixtures.

We tried that first half yesterday. And it was terrible. Eccles got pulled out to RB. It’s his natural inclination. Meant even more space in the middle than normal. At least Torp stays central

He got pulled out there because mve was fucking off and not getting back.

I’d go to a straight 5-3-2 away and 4-2-3-1 at home. Woolf comes in at home

KH at left back, if fit. Agree about Woolf and 5 at the back away. I would probably do that against Middlesbrough, at home, as well.

Apologies as I'm not a coach, just an observer, but for me, over the last few games our defence panics when we have to defend. A few games we have conceeded a goal and then the opposition have been all over us. Bobby Thomas is an excellent player especially when going forward but he and Kitching get very excitable as Thomas did to get sent off. Bidwell is a calming influence but FL doesn't seem to trust him enough to come on and help see out a game. Possbly the last player we had that can do that is Fadz and I still think we need that type of calming influence when we are under the cosh. We only have 24 hours so I cannot recommend anyone but possibly the player i'm refering to is someone in Div 1 or 2, and not necessarly a premiership player, but someone who is streetwise and can rough it up.

Perhaps having a ball winner (Onyeka) in front of them will take a bit of pressure off

I'd make a few changes.

We need to get a CM closer to Grimes, that will give him another option rather than playing back consistently, give our CBs another option and provide slightly more cover on transition.

If we dont want to do that, I think we have to look at playing Kitch or Woolfenden at LB and then we can sit one of those and have 3 CB's with Grimes in front of them, which again would give us more cover and options - While allowing MVE to still play forward which is his strength.

Away from that, they really really need to stop Kitch diving in - because he keeps doing it and leaving a fucking giant hole in the middle of the pitch that teams keep walking through.

It has to be 433, our midfield gets overrun at times. Hopefully with Frank the Tank coming in that should stop that.

It’s the only way we know how to play, might aswell just stick with it, we just leave too much room behind us so easy to counter attack against, with everyone fit I’d go

rushworth
mve
lati
kitching
hayden/ da silva Hayden could easily play LB
grimes
onyeka
assante
esse
EMC
wright
