It's not over, but tonight would have been massive. We just can't keep doing this.

Saturday fixtures .....

Saturday, 4 February 2012

West Ham v Millwall, 12:30

Bristol City v Leeds, 15:00

Coventry v Ipswich, 15:00

Doncaster v Reading, 15:00

Sunday, 5 February 2012

Derby v Nott'm Forest, 12:15

this surely has to be one of our last chances to make up points. Games kee ticking by and even though we've won a few of late we still remain 7 points away from safety. We have to close the gap. It has to be Saturday.

We play 3 of the (current) bottom 5 in the run-in:

Bristol City v City
Burnley v City
City v Millwall
City v Doncaster
Southampton v City

If were still in a shout of staying up by then is another matter.

When we had a thread the other day about what we needed to stay up, I posted a list of games we needed to win/draw to get a competitive total. I didn't allow for any points against Blackpool so tonight is not a disaster in that sense. However it does make Ipswich a huge game, since I budgeted 3 points for that game. Had we picked up a win tonight it would have taken so much pressure off for Saturday.

Tis a bit of a disaster now though in the fact that we lost in the final minutes from a winning position and have dropped one further point away from 4th from bottom.

Think the problem Gable Guy is, as you have alluded to, by the time we play those matches it will probably already be too late..
