Trying to get a couple of extra Swindon tickets. Ticketmaster advising all tickets currently sold. Club tweeting just 400 sold out of 950 (which doesn't really ring true at this stage). No response from club to confirm either way. Confused!

I think there's a problem with the website, it's saying error on the coach booking aswel, obviously haven't sold out yet, as you said only sold 400, might be worth trying to ring or email ticketmaster, they respond quite quick.

New ticket master system is a nightmare to use, kept on saying that no tickets were available, ended up going to the butts and sorted in 5 minutes. Annoying having to pay an extra quid per ticket for admin charges

Usual problem getting my mates disabled ticket.
After many phone calls finally managed to get hold of someone.
Customer services answered and arranged for tickets but needed to seek advice on coach as there was a problem.
Must admit I managed a tweet and got a quick response. Unfortunately I had already started the ticket process a few minutes earlier.
Advised it's best to go into the Butts, but it's a good journey to make with the uncertainty of ticket availability due to not answering phone.
So we now have the tickets but not the coach yet !!

This is the email I got:

Hi Craig,

There are currently no tickets for the Swindon game remaining. Please keep in touch with the website for news of any possible further allocations being made available.

Regards,

James

I don't think ccfc and ticketmaster communicate very well. After I bought Portsmouth tickets and paid postage as ther were no options not to, ccfc put on twitter that the tickets would be loaded onto season tickets, I emailed ticketmaster and they have told me that they are being posted as it's the first ones of the season but future cup tickets will be loaded. Ccfc allways on the ball.

Can't believe they sold 500 tickets in a day, they will have to open terraces.

I don't believe they did. Suspect the club published the wrong figure. 400 days after going on general sale for the first game of the season just didn't seem right. Probably only counted those they'd sold over the counter or something. Unless ticketmaster have got it wrong of course!

Yes that figure did seem a bit low for the start of season.

If you can get there it's a lot easier going to the butts, I went last week and was the only one in there took 5 minutes and you can choose where you want to sit rather than having to choose the best available (which is terrible on ticket master!)

As of yesterday club said they have sold 450. Just tried to buy 2 online and ticketing page says there is an error. Tried ringing the club ticket line (open til 8pm) and fed up listening to crap music after 10 mins. Pretty poor stuff City.

I don't know how people manage to have so much trouble with tickets. This isn't the clubs own system any more, it's ticketmaster the biggest ticket sellers in the world that can cope with hundreds of thousands of people trying to buy tickets at the same time.

I just went on to try and work out what the problem was, clicked on Swindon Away, picked how many tickets I wanted and was onto the payment page.

Perhaps you should read the actual thread. The system is a piece of piss to use - that's not the issue. The issue is that tickets sold out yesterday - as confirmed by ticketmaster and also by the club today who have said they are waiting for the next allocation to arrive.

Fuck me.

And? Just one person's opinion. The issue discussed in the thread is the cock-up by the club (they yesterday said that they had sold 400 tickets - but they had actually sold 950 - apparently they were quoting the figure sold at Butts not the total), so they had sold out while still telling people tickets were available. Very little has been said about the website or the process of buying tickets.

Its like any event, if its sold out then tickets won't be on sale, if more tickets are released they will go on sale. Don't really see what there is to complain about there.

Change Birmingham, change Cheltenham. Takes a bit longer but the same price . Booked my ticket and planning on going early for a breakfast in Cheltenham and on the return journey stop off for a pint or two at the Shakespeare, (which never dissapoints on a match day ) just outside New Street station.

And yet you felt the need to bullshit about the fact you had added Swindon tickets to your basket when there aren't any in a lame attempt to feel superior to people you assumed were having difficulty with the website when actually they weren't.

Either way, the fact the club were openly telling people tickets were available, who were then making pointless trips to the Butts, when they had long since sold out, is a poor show. But no, nothing to moan about there.

Or here's a crazy idea, maybe I did exactly what I said. In fact just for you I've done it again and taken a screenshot

You'd think that some people just have to think about buying tickets and they should magically fall into their laps instantaneously.

Yes. I am aware that there are a couple of single tickets left. Try adding 2 tickets. Not sure what the mystery is, club were tweeting tickets sold out yesterday. TM advising on the phones that tickets sold out. So which is it?

July 26, 2016

Either way, it's not that important in the scheme of things, we'll all get over it. My beef is the way the club communicate these things is a bit shoddy at times.

It really is shit. 10 days for me, nothing yet. I don't care if they turn up a day before the match, just that the whole ticketing experience is woeful. As for the STs, leavibg it one week before the season starts to send tickets out is just asking for issues.

All in all, haven't felt this low about the club for quite some time - feels like everything really is now being run on a shoestring.
