My notes from the game:

Jobello looks a real prospect, was surprised and impressed with his work rate. He should do well.

Allen looks neat.

Rose looks good and that was some block.

Marosi had a good game bar a few errant kicks.

Dabo will get targeted with long balls. Did well with the ball on the ground, he won a few balls he lost out on back.

Baka did well for his goal, won some balls back strongly and put himself about. But that miss was a stinker. I do worry finishing doesn't come naturally for him

This pretty much my opinion.
Baka does put himself about, and that was how he made his goal, but he missed a sitter
Biamou's was a great left foot strike that I doubt Baka could emulate
Jobello did look good (great ball control) but tired and was much less effective after half time
Shipley is not the answer, and I am not sure of the question to which he might be the answer except midfield dynamo in League 2.
Bayliss brought more drive to midfield and should be in the slot we all have in mind for Bright should he return
There was no chance that Chaplin might have converted
Allen and Kelly looks a good combo
Rose - nice at playing out, but his defensive skills were not tested.
Goalie is a big unit, made several good stops and did appear to command the area
We are committed to playing the ball out of defence - make sure you have a blood pressure pill before each game.
The bleedin' obvious - we need a striker. Neither Baka or Max, both of whom I like are the answer.

Swindon’s number 10 looked pretty good. Was all over the pitch and ran there midfield. Don’t think anyone else on there team stood out.

We looked good at the back just need a bit more composure. The missing like is that player linking from midfield to strikers

Agree we are not potent enough in the final 3rd to be top 2. Add this dimension and we could be.
Agree with you regards their no 10. He looked a tidy player but was not quick or a that creative. More of Kelly but higher up the pitch.

I think we’re waiting on Walker and Bright. If they don’t happen we might see a Prem youth loan if there’s one on the radar.

Well one things almost 100% we are desperate for more quality up front because we missed out on promotion last year because of lack of goals and now we have 2 players less in that position so I am reasonably confident that we will see at least 1 player come in and hopefully more

Marosi looks a great keeper.

I thought Dabo looked ok - he is going to have to get better at defending diagonal balls, cause he will get peppered all season.

Centre halves looked ok, but they need to play with each other a bit more. A few times we played them onside because we weren't holding a line. I like how competant they both are playing the ball out.

Mason is incredibly underrated.

Allen and kelly are going to be key to our season. Kelly protects the back 4 so well and kept play ticking over. Allen looks like he is good for 10 goals.

Jobello is a threat, pacey and competant on the ball. Even in the 2nd half he was influencing the game by dragging their left back so wide.

Hiwula ghosted in and out but showed flashes of good things cutting in.

Baka worked hard for his goal, but didn't seem good enough.

Biamou is far better than people give him credit for. He took his goal so well and tbe little run behind was brilliant.

Baylis looked good and made things happen on the ball and Shipley worked hard but didnt offer too much.

I am incredibly positive about this year, Swindon are tipped for a top half finish - which bodes well for us against the bottom third of our league, as we bossed the game and possession.

The problems they caused us were because we weren't used to playing together, not because of a glaring issue.

Good result today
Good workman like performance away from home against a team that will compete well in League 2
Sets us up well for next Saturday
2 players short of a promotion winning team.
Watch this space !!!

Think the instruction is to pass out to Mcfadzen, he looks really good at raking longballs. Quarterback style

Trouble s if that's the plan opposition will wise up to it pretty quick and push up to pressurise them. We're not like Man City where they're holding back because they're scared of the attacking threat.

It needs to be mixed up to keep the opposition guessing or it's a policy that could prove troublesome, so I hope Marosi does have some decent mid/long distribution too.

Glad for Biamou grabbing the late goal. I think he could have a good year.

Love the new kit, really looks the part. Also nice to see Swindon in an off the peg Puma template just to emphasis how much more effort Hummel have made

The trouble with both strikers scoring is that it may lessen the urgency to shell out on a striker. Another 0-0 today and we might’ve got authorisation to up the bid
