Not too bad a journey for me from Malvern. Should take about 1¼ hours. Trouble is, I'm off fishing all day Thursday. Missus will probably moan if I say I'm off for the day on Saturday as well! Bloody wives!

Spent the first two years on the West Wight - Totland Bay, then moved over to Newport. In total we were on the island for 8 years. Didn't miss it at first but we've been back for a visit since and realised we'd jumped the gun a bit. Ah well. These things are part of life.

Bonus, I didn't know about this match at all. I'll take my lad on the train only 30 mins from me. Assuming it'll be pay on the gate

Was thinking of it. If the weather is shit I might, as the alternative is working in the garden!

How times have changed when gardening would come before football :emoji_grimacing:

Regretting it! What!! It’s the most beautiful place on earth!

I may be slightly biased in this matter

I'm going, only 20 mins for me.

Also taking my 6 year old nephew to his 1st ever football game.

What an absolute spectacle of football for him to reminisce about in a few years.

Weirdly I think the my first ever match may have been Swindon Town Vs a Man United XI during a pre season, couldn't say what year but would have been v. early 90s

Didn't stick enough at that point for me to attach my self to either team but I do still keep half an out for both their results.

Some how it took my dad taking me to Cov Vs Derby in 1998, 1-0 win then followed up by a nil nil draw a month later with Wimbledon to get me hooked

I regret the move from the island. Not so much Malvern. It is a beautiful place but for me and 'er indoors, it is far to hilly.

I know it’s only a friendly but this game will be a real measure of what our season will start off like.

Swindon rightly one of the favourites to win league two and on paper have a very strong side.

Really looking forward to testing ourselves against them
